I have been to that ET Beef Jerky store. Maybe the cow mutilations have something to do with this.

No wonder it's so expensive

But jerky is made from beef/meat and THAT is rarely touched by ET

Our politics have successfully engineered many to be  against joining The Gallactic Imperium, Federation, or DOOP. The Alien UN.. 

We must embrace The New World Order and one world governments that unite the planet in common purpose before they let us into their elite planet club. 

Unfortunately, until we are borderless in policy, and stop being psychotic religious monkeys, we are to remain a "Type 0" or "primitive" civilization.

And we aparently piss off the interdimensional ones with nuclear detonations.

So we should stop that too.

When the aliens reveal themselves on earth, maybe then we can all fight and agree as one race - humans. But when that time happens, count me out,  as I will be robbing a Krispy Kreme store because I know it will be my last meal.

If they are here for anything, it's certainly not mineral resources, which are just as abundant and easier to harvest in the likes of our asteroid belt without any sort of kerfuffle.

So if humans are the intended target, it would be best to wait until we wipe ourselves out fighting over petty religious indifference, oil, and energy.

Then make an appearance offering salvation to those left standing.

Why did the designation change from alien to non human intelligence? alien denotes unknown 

The NHI could have been here throughout history, hidden, or they could pop in and out dimensionally, and not even be a space-faring civilization.

So many possibilities, we may be quarantined temporarily or permanently, as others suggested. 

My favorite new theory we were being graded by the Galactic Federation since Roswell to see if we could ascend and become a member race.  We failed, humanity failed, so we live our lives on what's really a prison planet.

The earth is probably one giant petri dish and we are an experiment.  Funny, but I was reading something the other day that posed an interesting question: what if the other alien races are experiments too?
