What is your afterlife experience - NDE, ghosts, etc??

I looked up ghost stories where I once lived.  The ghost I saw matched what the local paper described as a Victorian woman.  However I never read much of a description.  While I thought the ghost looked better in the face,  this image looks close to what I remember.   https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo/woman-...y=relevant

I see several pictures popped in.  I was attempting to refer to the woman dressed all in black with a black hat.

The area I had recently visited at the time had a story appearing in the newspaper back then.  I would have brushed the entire episode as a figment of my imagination if not for that.  I do not remember dreaming about anyone in the 1800’s so I was startled to see a woman standing near me for a fraction of a second after waking up.

I had been to both the downtown Museum and Federal building prior to seeing her standing near me.  Hopefully the guy who bought my house hasn’t had any sightings.   Actually I don’t remember how long after visiting that I saw her.  It was about 2 weeks later I read an article in the paper about a ghost.

For a few weeks right after he passed, when 3-4 family members or more would gather in the kitchen. The 5-light bulb kitchen table light would flash independently, and when the grandkids got there, it would flash like Christmas lights.  The kitchen light was on all the time; it never flickered when workers or the cleaners came in. Seemingly just family members.

Mom and I would laugh as we'd get a brief flicker or three...

Back in late June, my oldest daughter lost her first baby late in the 8th month of her pregnancy. Early on, it was rough, hell, it still is ...she said one morning a few days afterwards when your heart still hurts so much it feels like it's gonna burst. She was sleeping and had an intense dream of Papa (Dad), and felt his presence; her words, "it wrapped around me like a big hug."

My x mother in law her husband died in her modular home, she started having problems with doors not staying shut. Especially the entry door. Doors inside the home would just pop open as you approached them.  I never could resolve the issue completely. I chalked it up to vibration when walking toward the door. But it was odd it didn't start doing it until after he died in that modular home.


I either seen a entity or a I had a really realistic dream some years back. I was asleep on the couch, then I was awake, or I thought I was awake. This lady thing just floated through the front door. I was paralyzed, not from fear, I just could not move. It floated to right over by my head. Knelt down right by my head and said, thank you for all that you do. I said exactly what is it that I do? It just stood up and floated right back through the door. After it went through the door I could move, I jumped up grabbed a weapon and headed out the door, only to find nothing in any direction.

My Darlin', before she was my Darlin', was on an operating table because she had a tubal pregnancy burst.   She had lost an enormous amount of blood.    She gained awareness and saw many people who had died in the distance looking toward her, and she said everything was bright.   She reached out for them, even seeing family dogs who wouldn't come to her.    They smiled and collectively waved goodbye.   She awoke in IC, having survived being flatlined for four minutes and revived.   

Our Oldboy cat, Sutter, who was run over on the road, used to visit us sometimes.   Never did hear him, but felt the weight of him jumping up on the bed sometimes, and the way he liked to walk on my side before settling down.   That faded and then stopped.  I thought that his spirit had been reincarnated into a sucessive feral cat that showed up, but was not friendly.   You see, the new white cat used the same sequence to jump on my car to get to the awning, to twist and get down to the narrow window ledge to tell me it was time to be fed.   He also walked stiff-legged toward me when I called him Sutter, as if he remembered, but was also afraid of it.   I wrote an account of that at ATS, which I called 'Catcarnation'.
