What happened to the drones?

And I was sort of wondering a few sentence summary that normal people would get about what light had been cast on the situation, not what rabbit holes had been uncovered.

My bet would be distraction and/or talking points.

I don't think there were any new rabbit holes uncovered so to speak.

Just old warrens dug up and presented to the public.

In a rinse-and-repeat sort of manner.

With the focus on drones as opposed to the classic UFO spin.

Again i think it turned out to be commercial airplanes in holding patterns.

Or their lights when coming into land, which was responsible for a significant percentage of the reports.

They appear to be testing military or commercial type drones... I recently spotted a few skimming below radar altitude, SUV-sized, neither shaped nor moving like conventional aircraft.

I suppose a few might be linked to the likes of the up-and-coming unmanned "loyal wingman" type programs, given the SUV-size.

I don't think there is any doubt that unmanned drone technologies are going to be a significant part of the future.

Certainly looks to be the direction of travel.

All those drone swarms. The different videos. News articles. A hearing or two.

What happened to them? Did they go away? Who or what were they?

I am curious if 1 year later there's any consensus. What is your best short summary?

Not the unanswered questions, but what we know.

A test for 'legacy' government response in regards to defense.  
DOD announced testing drone defense networks and capabilities a bit prior too. 

Now that they know the weak points, and that they can rile people up with fake alien sh** 'they' know how easy it is/where to go for various objectives.

This I think is an important point, that there were multiple layers of phenomena. First weird wiggy drone light swarm jumpy appear disappear non-flight physics move thingies, then redgreen light drone swarms that somehow never have identified takeoff or landing points, plus military or other helicopters, flights, etc. All thrown into one perceptual stew by the oh-so-shallow media one-size-fits-all crowd. It is so stupid that it begs agenda. Then the griftsquad appears to tease explanation to the point of dismissability.

But none of this explains who's and what they were.

'they' love to layer operations for plausible deniability, fogginess, and maximum blackmail.

Excellent point! I actually remember when they started calling them that, instead of UAPs, and I questioned it, and then it just became normalized! Haha and I totally called them that in the thread title. I guess it did work!
