I remember seeing some news article when she died saying that she wanted her case to be studied, that's why they have so much data about her.

The problem is humans aren't built for longevity.

We evolved to reproduce.

And survive long enough to pass on our genes.

It's a serious limitation, really, and one of the main reasons we pretty much refuse to learn from one generation to the next.
