*In the context of the Bible, "Gnostic" refers to a diverse set of religious ideas and movements that emerged in the early centuries of Christianity, emphasizing a special kind of knowledge, gnosis, as the key to salvation. This "knowledge" was not simply intellectual but involved a deeper, mystical understanding of the divine and one's own spiritual nature. Gnosticism often presented a dualistic view of the world, distinguishing between a flawed material realm and a superior, spiritual realm. 

*In Gnosticism, Aeons are emanations from the divine source (often referred to as the Monad or Bythos), representing various aspects of the divine and forming a spiritual realm called the Pleroma. These aeons are not gods in the traditional sense, but rather, they are living principles and forces that constitute the building blocks of divine intelligence.

They are often described as existing in pairs, with masculine and feminine aspects, and are considered intermediaries between the divine and the material world.  

Studying the Gnostic teachings...  I realized that if there is any truth to the Demiurge being, its AEON mother Sophia and its creation of this material world outside of the already existing Pleroma it helps verify/make sense of the many imperfections/inconsistencies experienced here by humanity and other life within its illusion-Matrix. 

*In Gnostic thought, the Demiurge is a creator god, often identified with the God of the Old Testament, who is portrayed as flawed, ignorant, and even malicious, in contrast to the supreme, unknowable God.

This Demiurge is seen as responsible for creating the material world, which is considered flawed and inferior to the spiritual realm.  

The Demiurge is said to lack Gnostice knowledge or Esoteric and mythical knowledge of objective reality-EXISTENCE. It really felt or feels its king over all (within its limited perception and not recognizing the Existence of the MONAD) without realizing it is a creation of an AEON or higher dimensional being within a pre-existing location, realm, and dimension.     

*Sophian Gnosticism, also known as Sophia-centered Gnosticism, is a form of Gnosticism that centers on Sophia, the figure of divine wisdom, as a key figure in creation and redemption. In this context, Sophia is often depicted as an Aeon, a divine being, who experiences a fall from the Pleroma (the realm of divine fullness), leading to the creation of the material world and humanity's spiritual struggle to return to the divine.   

*Gnosticism Pleroma is the realm of the Aeons, divine beings who emanate from the Monad (the ultimate source of all things). It's a place of perfection and fullness, the opposite of the void.    

*Gnostic myths often describe Sophia's fall from the Pleroma, sometimes due to a misguided desire to create or understand the divine. This fall results in the creation of the material world and the Demiurge, a flawed creator god.     

Being cast out of the Pleroma by its creator/mother Sophia for its imperfections, it came in contact with the realms or regions outside of the Pleroma. Regions still within the reach of the MONAD where it appears some human SPIRITS-SOULS were reachable.     

This is the realm where the Demiurge created the imperfect material world that would enslave and manipulate some of the Souls-Spirits distracted by the Demiurge artificial light.   

*In Gnosticism, the Monad is the ultimate, transcendent source of all being, often referred to as the One or the Father. It is the absolute, the ineffable origin from which all emanations, or Aeons, originate. The Monad is not a personal God in the traditional sense, but rather a divine entity representing the source of all existence and perfection.  

MONAD THE FATHER of JESUS CHRIST   

Upon contact, the Demiurge enslaved the human Eternal Spirits it could see and capture with its limited perception by placing-tricking the Spirits into temporary realities (the material world) that it governed with the ones known as the Archons.  

*In Gnosticism, archons are malevolent, world-governing beings believed to be created by the Demiurge, a subordinate creator god. They are seen as obstacles to spiritual enlightenment, trapping souls in the material world and hindering their return to the Pleroma (the realm of pure light and spirit). They are often depicted as demonic, ignorant, or even monstrous entities. 

It, the Demiurge made/convinced the Eternal Souls-Spirits that they are only temporary human beings woven out of temporary materials. By doing so, it knew or knows these captured Eternal beings would attach to the temporary governed realities and believe it is all there is due to limited perception. Limited perception like the Demiurge. 

When you observe this material world, you can see the many inconsistencies and imperfections, you notice...  

Is it possible the many imperfections and inconsistencies are related to a TRUTH that an imperfect creator who didn't realize it was a creation created by a AEON who too was a creation of the MONAD created this world?

*The Gnostics believed that when a soul dies, it does not rise freely. Instead, it must pass through the spheres of the archons, guards at each layer of the false heavens. One by one they challenge the soul seeking to drag it back into the cycle of illusion and rebirth. 

*But if the soul carries nosis, true spiritual knowledge, it can name them, resist their deceptions, and slip past their grasp. Only then can it ascend beyond the veil, returning to the light from which it came.

*The archon's job is to keep you focused on fear, lust, anger, vanity, and the endless treadmill of consumption.

*Gnostic texts often associate them with the seven deadly passions. Not the Christian seven deadly sins, but ancient emotional patterns that weaken spiritual clarity.

These aren't mythic villains. They're metaphysical psychological patterns/systems/entities-NHI that can manipulate the physical realities they govern.

The information of the Gnostics detects and interruptes within this reality that the God of this world is not the source of light, but the shadow that blocks it. His/it's name is Yaldabaoth the demiurge...

UltraBudgie, thanks for adding relatable information to the thread.  It appears both Augustine and René are attempting to understand GOD THE CREATOR/SOURCE/FATHER and or a MONAD as best they can perceive and describe. 

Augustine is seeing or sensing GOD THE CREATOR/SOURCE/FATHER and or a MONAD as a corporeal entity made of exotic matter responsible for the Creation of all the matter of different forms around us, as the MONAD is said to also be.

René breaks it down into an observers evaluation of the activities of said matter.  Activities that can be viewed as benefic and or malefic depending on the observers awareness or abilities to see the bigger picture.  A picture that can evolve around a being or beings or a world going through numerous cycles of rinse and repeat.

The more the observer is aware of said bigger picture they begin to see the benefic and or malefic activities are parts of the same SOURCE.  Similar to how a star going supernova may emit tremendous amounts of destruction to anything nearby but eventually can become the source of life for future Creations.  Or how decaying materials can be used by new growing flora/life.

In essence the perception of the GOD or a MONAD activities depends on the dualistic or non-dualistic thinking of the observers and if they feel GOD or a MONAD is a dualistic or non-dualistic thinker as well...

andy06shake, in relation to the Archons it is apparent they do have tricks that they know will attract Souls-Spirits into a continuous cycle of memory wipes and relocation throughout the timelines.

I do remember a question asked on the old ATS related to your question.  The question was if you were experiencing an O.O.B.E or in the process of transitioning from this dimension to the next would you go into the Light or avoid it. 

Keeping it as real as I can with you, I still don't know the answer fully.  Part of me says maybe its a spirit-soul trap similar to bug zappers, but another part of me says maybe I'm being too stubborn and that may be the way home to HEAVEN or the PLEROMA.  Guidance at that point I feel would be helpful tremendously.  Knowing what I learned of how the Archons are said to manipulate the consciousness to further trap a Soul-Spirit here within the illusion, I feel it's a logical situation to question. 

Going into the Light and it potential being an illusion/trap and missing the opportunity to remain within the Abyss of Creation. 

Or avoiding the possible Original LIGHT shining from GOD or a MONAD influence down into the illusion that may be a guide home for spirits-souls and being lost in the Abyss of Creation a potential region the Demiurge and its Archons still has influence over.  Definitely a tuff one

Many don't consider it canonical, but I think this saying from the Gospel of Thomas gives words to the idea of escaping and conquering not by winning a battle of duality, but by transcending it:
