Yeah, but the nostalgia-bound MAGA was thinking more along the lines of Gran Torino, the return of the primacy of the stoic true grit honest working man—heart of America, baby!—not robots replacing factory workers and truck drivers and keeping the populace in data-mined Netflix-numbed complacency. Is anyone else thinking this is how Skynet begins?

I'm thinking that your privacy and other freedoms are about to be taken away little by little, drip by drip, so you won't notice it.

Five or ten years ago, it would have been somewhat adorable that you still thought that hasn't already been happening for decades. The process is complete: there is no significant privacy, and freedom exists only within the bounds presented by the system. Duh? Nowadays, when one encounters people who don't realize that, it's best to accept that there really is no hope for them, nothing's going to get through, they will exist in the bubble of hopium and illusion that they have chosen. As do we all, but theirs will never change or evolve beyond denial. Politically, they are irrelevant, counting only as warm bodies marshalled by the machine. Nothing new will come from them; we can only wait for the die-off and hope that generational replacement will move things forward.

I don't believe that, I believe there are programs to protect one's privacy and there will be new ways to circumvent Thiel's and the government's grand plan. Remember the people have the voting power and can make the changes they want. As for my privacy, I have done everything I can to protect my privacy and so far so good.
