Not everyone's experiences, of course, but perhaps you can see somewhat why my experiences give me this viewpoint.  But... it's okay to disagree, eh?

In any case, it's the Christmas holiday... so merry-merry to you and yours.  We're going to have Christmas Eve dinner with our daughter (since she doesn't have a partner) and sushi, and I intend to make this a tradition to brighten her holidays.  :)

I come closer to understanding, I believe.

My contention was never to detract from the reality of living a life, with all it's disparate pressures and moments of confrontation.  I am well prepared to recognize those terrible things which are the 'expectations' of others.  And I promise you that I can relate to it (I think I am a candidate for the pseudo-diagnosis of "defiant" disorder... growing up was no placid picnic for me either.)

I suppose that there will be no harm done to the children... so my criticisms are not meant to be fiery... I am maintaining that they are looking at children as if they will provide an answer to the great "gender" issue... the answer isn't in children... it's in activism.

Children don't "require" societal pressure... in fact, it seems cruel to apply it to them.

But sincerely, I thank you for your patient kindness. 

And I appreciate the Christmas cheer!
