Well, i guess i will need to pick one first.
Thus far i have managed with the simple free versions.
Just go to digital ocean and cut out the middle man. They are just reselling you digital ocean VPS. You can get a VPS for 1$/month if you know where to look. You can host like 100 VPN connections on some cheap packages. Basically they are charging every individual the cost of their server but most are fitting side by side next to each other. Its very profitable. Also, if anyone decides to do this venture I recommend hosting in Panama because they do not have to export logs to anyone if they dont feel like it. Basically anyone tries to subpoena your logs there and you can tell them to kick rocks.

107.170.0.0/17 162.243.0.0/17 188.226.128.0/17 46.101.128.0/17 37.139.0.0/19 45.55.0.0/19 45.55.32.0/19 45.55.64.0/19
block that and most vpns should fail, also i would block UDP ports and common VPN tcp ports that should just about stop it all. Then they will really have to work to get around it but I guarantee that the guys at the electronic freedom foundation *eff.org* will never let that happen to the UK. You will learn to tunnel with SSH.
You seem to know a lot more about it than i do, and cheers for the insights.

We are surprised? I have a whole thread on UK censoring it's citizens online and even in person , this is just the next step.
It's up to the citizens to fight this tooth and nail. Then probably get called Nazis or some twaddle.
Most countries have shadow censorship anyway, comments deleted, algorithmically buried, etc. Since the government is owned by corporations now (reverse fascism) it's pretty much fair game anarchy might makes right if you have the cash and the software.

Aren't they trying to outlaw having a VPN? Canada has simular bills in the que, and part of that is the eventual doing away with VPNs.
I don't like it one bit, and i have great skepticism that it's solely about " protecting children"

As far as im aware, there are currently no official plans to ban VPNs in the UK.
That may change through.
But a full ban would be impractical.
And even if the software was banned.
I dont imagine that would stop people trying to use VPN, legal or otherwise.
Just down to the fact they are used to spoof regions and let people watch content and TV only available in other nations.

The E.U. Canada and Australia are looking at bringing in similar laws. A few American states have already clamped down the same way and now have tighter controls.
VPN sales went up 1000% here in the UK when the law came into effect.

if they simply require your browser to have its own ssl certificate vpns wouldn't be a problem
the certificate could be issued by a trust authority and contain age and region verification
that way traffic wrapped inside vpn encryption would still have cryptographically verified provenance
privacy advocates would be like "whaa we're bring tracked" though
yeah no sh*t lol
phones and computers could do this today via microsoft google and apple accounts, which are already hard selectors

Anti-porn laws are such a waste of time for everyone involved. God forbid a 15 year old would stumble upon a naked person on the internet. They would be traumatized for life!
People watch porn. Yes, even teenagers. Get over it.

Whilst your comment is indeed valid, the "reach" of this bill stretches far far further.
Its not just teenage Gr0t but anything deemed sensitive. We're a already seeing posts being out behind the "child protection" filter on the likes of Reddit and X and many more.
Some examples deemed sensitive are MP's political speeches, anti 1mm1gr8tion comments etc.
