If I say to someone that my boss had a slight fever on Friday I am not leaking any medical records because I am not a doctor or any health worker.
I see two conspiracies here:
1 - The MSM not mentioning the information obtained via that FOIA request. It's part of an ongoing story, why are they keeping quiet about it?
2 - The fact that people keep on saying they are trying to discredit him with leaked medical records that are not medical records. Why are people insisting on something that is not true?
PS: I know that saying that someone, once, was forced into a hospital for possible mental health problems can discredit that person in the eyes of the less informed, but this was not done by the Feds but by the local police, in answer to a FOIA request.
I already answered you on #1 and one cant file a lawsuit in a court of law in the USA if what you wrote in #2 is true.
You rank yourself higher than an FBI Special Agent?
I was asked by a retired State Department Special Agent at a neighborhood party if I worked out of Fort Meede or Langley. He was a self proclaimed Putin expert and devoted his career to Putin. I said neither. However, I will not question the opinion of an FBI Special Agent who commented on this issue along with a lawsuit being filed in court by Grusch.
No, we cant beliveve everyone at all times nor the press but I thought I made my position with you quite clear. Thats my opinion based in my personal experience and I dont work for any organizations relating to this matter.
Heres another take at the MSM material:

Sorry, I didn't see any clear answer to point 1.
Regarding point 2, as I don't know the US or Virginia's judicial system I suppose I will have to wait to see any further developments.
Quote:You rank yourself higher than an FBI Special Agent? It depends on the subject, and I am as entitled to an opinion as he is.

I question everything.

Sorry, it wasn't clear to me.
Quote:Heres another take at the MSM material:

In that article they say:
Quote:In the lawsuit, Grusch’s legal team points to section 37.2-818 of the Code of Virginia, which states that “recordings, records, reports, and documents” related to commitment hearings for involuntary admission “shall not be subject to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act”.
But, when looking at section 37.2-818 of the Code of Virginia, we see that the records it talks about are the court records, not the police report that lead to the involuntary admission.
As I'm not a lawyer and, as said above, do not know the US or Virginia's judicial system, my interpretation of the legislation may not be correct.

Your welcome.
Sorry for any misunderstanding, sometimes I have a hard time understanding what people mean.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that.
My point of view is that this lawsuit is meaningless because it's about something that did not happen.

I don't understand where did you get that idea, I couldn't care less for the USA MSM.
PS: you didn't answer my question, did you read the documents released by the Loudon County sheriff's office?

I cant recall what country your writing from but in the USA a judge would have thrown out the lawsuit, the attorney could be sanctioned or disbarred or banned and money is wasted.
I really don't agree with you.

Edited to add: sorry for repeating my question, but have you read the documents released under that FOIA request?

Thanks I sit in South Carolina, USA. So lets be transparent for the sake on honesty, ethics and to Deny Ignorance. Are you from ATS because I also ran into a guy from Portugal over there. He o she was radicalized in my opinion. I did have a college roommate from Portugal. His name was Alex and he just loved American women. He also played soccer in college on a scholarship. Good guy.
But this guys a real POS. My opinion as in "who gives a shit"
So lets go deeper onto the FOIA request. Anyone here in the USA can get an FOIA request. So why did some guy by the name of Ken Klippenstein try from day one to discredit an former officer in USA military? In my opinion after reading the Twitter account of this "rouge" journalist who HATES the United States, I really wonder whom he works for as he never had any interest in UFO's up to now. Just look at his Twitter history. This kids a real piece of work:
Online pranks
According to The Daily Beast, Klippenstein "has a history of pranking unknowing targets on Twitter."[36] Klippenstein has occasionally been the subject of reporting, as well, due to him pranking individuals from across the political spectrum. Following a Twitter flame war with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, he attracted Musk's attention by sharing a Vogue photograph from the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty showing Musk with Ghislaine Maxwell, a long-time associate of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who had been convicted of sex trafficking.[37] Musk, who as of June 3, 2020, had 35.5 million Twitter followers,[38] publicly posted that Klippenstein was a "douche-about-town."[39] On January 9, 2024, he and other journalists were abruptly banned from X, the platform formerly known as Twitter and which Musk now owns. No explanation was given.[40] Klippenstein and the other journalists were later reinstated following media coverage of the incident.[41]
In July 2019, Klippenstein was covered in the media after a Twitter incident in which he was retweeted by Iowa Congressman Steve King just before changing his Twitter display name to "Steve King is a white supremacist".[42][43][44] In March 2021, Klippenstein pranked author Naomi Wolf by recommending she tweet an image of a fabricated anti-vaxxer quotation paired with a picture of American pornography actor Johnny Sins.[45]
On Memorial Day 2021, Klippenstein tricked political commentators Dinesh D'Souza and Matt Schlapp, as well as Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, into retweeting a photograph of John F. Kennedy's assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, whom Klippenstein claimed was his veteran grandfather.[46] After being retweeted by Gaetz, Klippenstein changed his display name on Twitter to be "matt gaetz is a pedo". Gaetz later deleted his retweet.[47][48]

I read it the same as you did. No actual medical records are involved so HIPAA rules do not apply. He still may win though.
Quote:Reports and court documents related to an “involuntary admission” are excluded from being released under the Virginia FOIA, according to the suit.
If he is right on that, he could prevail. The word "involuntary" is the key. Often when things like that happen in that way a judge will even remove all mention of it from the record.

Yes, I am from ATS (and from the missing Pegasus Research Consortium). There were several Portuguese members on ATS.

Judging by his "pranks", I suppose he may use this "FOIA method" with everyone he wants to provoke, it's a cheap way of finding things to bother people with, specially with the "journalist" excuse.
PS: You still didn't answer if you read the documents or not.

From what I read, section 37.2-818 of the Code of Virginia applies to the court records related to an involuntary admission, not to the police report in which they mention his wife could try to get an involuntary admission order.

IMO this entire thread is a red herring. It doesn't matter except to people who enjoy having cows about meaningless issues. Is that a mixed metaphor? Well, who cares, which is what I think about the whole thing. Who cares if Grusch was an alcoholic? Who cares if Grusch was diagnosed with PTSD? Isn't everbody? It seems to be the disease du juor. Who cares if Trump is a convicted felon? So was Jesus. It gives new meaning to the phrase "trumped up charges." The point is that these sorts of complaints are used to "discredit" someone whom the opposition feels needs to be discredited. Frankly, I do not think this sort of tactic works except to deflect the energy of the conversation into dead ends.
The pertinent issue involves the credibility of Grusch. Is what he says true and relevant, or is he another Steven Greer with his excessive baggage? I say he IS credible, but that the result of his relevations has not had quite the explosive impact many had wished for. And that's not necessarilly his fault. I think we ought to have a discussion on what constitutes smoking gun proof, but I suspect some people would not accept that, no matter what it is or how it is presented. And that is a problem.
Everything hurts and I'm tired.
