Twisters
#1
I had a few hours to burn off this afternoon, so I saw Twisters at the movies. Twisters is an average film in places but is mainly dull to view. There is no chemistry among the cast members who do their best with the cardboard cutout characters and plot. The special effects aren't noteworthy and don't contribute to building up the tension or fear in the viewer.

However, the film's excellent soundtrack is the highlight. That soundtrack livens up uninspiring scenes.

I have avoided posting spoilers, so I am keeping my thoughts on Twisters brief and light on detail.

I haven't watched the new movie, but I did kind of enjoy the original one somewhat.

I know some people just go gah-gah over the original, and now the franchise / sequel.  Not quite sure I understand that, but hey, if they love it then more power to 'em.  I know one guy at work who came running into my office one day all out of breath to tell me he had just seen a flatbed tractor trailer with several of the actual Ram trucks they used filming the new Twister movie (all painted up with all the weather gizmos all over them).  I guess they were transporting them to/from Kansas where the real-life "Tornado Alley" is located and were some of the movie filming locations were.  He was all excited to come tell me this because I'd just bought a new Ram 1 ton mega-cab and it's pretty gussied up also.  So...I guess I'm going to have to go check out the new movie so I can see the trucks he saw on the hauler.

So, I'm guessing the new movie has some of these nice lookin' RAM trucks in it, right?

(I think he said one of them looked wrecked, so they must crash one in the movie)
