Well Trump is stating that the acquisition of Greenland is for national security...from whom? Russia? Does Russia have any ships left? lol

We would just need Ukrainian tactical manouevers and implementing it from land, if would appear. lol
From China? It appears China is partoling alongside Russia near Alaska...poking the eagle?
From North Korea? Really?
I would say Trump is after natural resources and wants to drill-drill-drill there too.
Any war or conflict in the Arctic would immediately involve all NATO countries, so I think it is well covered without the U.S. having to 'safeguard' it all up there - but that's not the real reason he wants Greenland and Canada.

Quote:The operation took place during China’s national holiday, according to a military channel on state broadcaster CCTV. While Russia has yet to officially confirm the event, the US Coast Guard reported that on September 29, two Russian and two Chinese ships were spotted passing through the Bering Sea, which separates Russia from Alaska.
