Cisgender heterosexuality, self-righteous better-than-thou morality and shame is shoved in the faces of LGBT people every day and at every turn so I don't think they care too much if your delicate sensibilities get flustered once and a while when they refuse to be quietly hidden away in the closet so you aren't bothered.

The activism to which you are referring never seems objectionable when you support the message. 
Opposing messages are especially infuriating... evoking calls for suppression and even censorship.

Place 100 heterosexual men and women on an island and 100 years later, you'll have a population.

Place 100 homosexuals on an island and 100 years later, you'll have a cemetery.

It goes against human sexuality and survival.  It's different.  Not normal.

Some see traditional "posture" as a choice to exclude... which is ironically synchronous with the idea that one's heart and soul is something you 'can't choose.

Gay, lesbian... anything not "traditional" was something in the heart... worth even dying for... but the media made it always about the sex... and lately how offensive it is not to be equally embraced.

Add the new "activism" (I call it journalism) and viola... everybody only hears about the activist narrative anymore... ad nauseum.

A noble sentiment, but am I hearing naïveté? Perish the thought!

Or to say: have you found the perfect tool for advancing social agenda? "Accept our incrementalism or we'll get violent!"

Never said as such of course, but signalled in "isolated" event and example. The subtext: "Take how we treat you, cancel you, call you a bigot, Nazi, and count yourself lucky that is all we do!"

And perhaps, the lucky still have their jobs.

Or to trans: the guilt. "Accept us so we can accept ourselves and if we can't accept ourselves and ragequit this life, the blood is on your hands".

A dilemma. The compassion bows.

Can one kowtow lower? The question the right seems to have asked itself, in practice, the last decade. "We don't want to be the intolerant ones!" Ah, they too rely on their surety that hypocrisy is the domain of the "other".

Has the head hit the floor? What more can conservatives do? Where to compassion now, that it is the left burning crosses?

So: going to be violent? Then: okay, let the law be objective. Let us proceed, America.
