Right so...a little bird asked me what do you give people when breaking down reality and opening doors..this thread answers that..

I witnessed some horrors on redit and some really disturbing trends around people seeking aid regarding spiritual matters. Christians are instantly mobbed and downvoted. This is atrocious, they are sharing their Gnosis and prayer is their magic. Not all the faithful are hardliners from the right, just like everyone else isn't the spawn of Satan. The attacks on Christians has to stop.

Reddit is certainly an echo chamber. Sometimes sorting by 'new' on replies helps. It used to be that sorting by 'controversial' would show some of the alternate opinions that the mob steamrolled, but that's less true lately. Now it tends to show mostly groupthink doctrine that goes too far in some way, rather than contrasting opinions.

One wonders how much of what you see with opinions on Christianity on Reddit is 'baked into the system'. After all, being hated by the world and enduring persecution is written in immutable scripture (Mandela effect aside). It's like Islam without struggle (jihad), where would it be? Can it even be otherwise?
