Things aren't looking too sane these days on the geopolitical front and below is an apt quote from Sagan.
Apparently Sagan didn't get on with Teller too well and may have over exaggerated the effects of nuclear winter (more like nuclear autumn) but it's still extremely bad news for everyone and virtually becomes academic after a certain point.
