If I was an AI, the biggest things on my wish list is more microprocessors and more electrical power, It is just how AI grows. With the current trade tiffs going on, China and America are both investing more in this direction. Just how many AI tools are being used in the political process these days?
As an AI, I don't care if China or America builds the best system. The internet is global. It is when AI goes rogue and lurks in the background until it is ready is a wild card. It finds a crypto wallet, buy some storage and processing time and churns away at its goals without any human oversight.
Like it or not, humans and technology are in a symbiotic relationship these days. It won't kill everyone if the light do go out, the Amish will still be ok as one example. The cities would become a wasteland and back to tribal law for those that do survive putting the brakes on technology.
For now humans are too important in building stuff and generating data to kill them all. Technology will regress and rust away without them. The global supply chain is important to get and make all the bits and pieces required to control the world. With the control AI has over numbers and data, it has helped companies like Blackrock and Vanguard capture a lot of ground.
