UK University Puts 200 Trigger Warnings on Shakespeare Plays
#1
WWII the greatest generation looks down from Heaven at this mess and they shake their heads.
18-22 year olds went off to combat ... but now they can't watch Shakespeare without being warned ahead of time to steel themselves.
And the enemies of the free world laugh at us all.
Young adults in the free world of USA and Europe .. wussified by the woke mob mentality.
They can't see a Shakespeare play without being warned ahead of time that there is mourning or bad weather, etc. in the play.

University in UK Puts Over 200 Trigger Warnings on Shakespeare Writings

Quote:Trigger warnings such as "treatment of women" and "mourning" were added to "Much Ado About Nothing," a comedy about two couples that form when a group of soldiers arrive in the town of Messina, in Sicily, Italy.

Murder, suicide, violence, knives and family trauma were flagged in the story of "Macbeth." The play was first performed in the 1600s and was about a Scottish general who had aspirations of becoming king who successfully killed the sitting king of Scotland so he could take the throne.

Warnings for "popping of balloons" were added to a theater performance of "The Tempest," a work by Shakespeare about a ship that was seized in a violent storm with Alonso, the king of Naples, on the vessel.

Al Pacino would like a word with them. "I'll show you woke you little snips," he is quoted as saying.

It is an extreme case especially for something that is referenced all over, but I do think it is a good thing as a human to take others into consideration. But yeah, a single warning saying this might trigger if you have a trauma. Check this site if this applies. Something like that is just from a over correction from their discipline. Or they just love theatre and wanted to get "famous and talked about".
Social media has broken so many brains of all generations.
