Quote:First-cousin marriages has ‘benefits’, says NHS guidance despite birth defect riskJoe PinkstoneSun, September 28, 2025 at 9:30 PM GMT+72 min readAdd Yahoo on Google The NHS has been urged to apologise for publishing guidance extolling the benefits of first-cousin marriage despite the increased risk of birth defects.
Guidance published last week by the NHS England’s Genomics Education Programme says first-cousin marriage is linked to “stronger extended family support systems and economic advantages”.
But the practice has also been linked to oppression of women and also has a proven increased risk of genetic disease in offspring of first-cousin relationships.
Advertisement Richard Holden, the Tory MP, told the Mail On Sunday: “Our NHS should stop taking the knee to damaging and oppressive cultural practices.
“The Conservatives want to see an end to cousin marriage as a backdoor to immigration too, but Labour are deaf to these sensible demands. What a bunch of 7th century idiots IMO... Might as well make marrying a 6 year old legal while they are at it and truly follow in Muhammad's perfect foot steps.

Quote:NHS Battles Rise In Inbreeding-Related Consequences As MPs Mull Banning First-Cousin Marriages
The NHS is grappling with increasing numbers of birth defects and other genetic conditions linked to first-cousin marriages, as British MPs debate whether to outlaw the practice.
Former Conservative Party Chairman Richard Holden recently introduced a Private Members' Bill in Parliament, highlighting the health risks associated with such unions, which are particularly prevalent in certain communities within the UK.
Proposal to Ban First-Cousin MarriagesHolden's proposed bill argues that cousin marriages result in significantly higher rates of birth defects and genetic conditions, placing a substantial burden on the NHS.
Speaking in the House of Commons, he referenced research indicating that children born to first cousins have double the risk of developing serious health issues compared to those born to unrelated parents.
He also drew attention to international data, noting that in Pakistan, where approximately 65% of marriages are between first cousins, the prevalence of the blood disorder thalassaemia is 7%, compared to a global average of 1%.
Holden has called for the UK to align its marriage laws with modern health standards, framing the proposal as a necessary step to prevent avoidable suffering. However, opposition from certain quarters remains strong.
A proposal ?? Let more in and watch the continued destruction of a society built upon centuries of customs and science disappear.

It is definitely a back door immigration thing. I don't know who is worse, those that extol it or those that practice it. Arranged marriages are bad enough but inbreeding is mental.
At the end of the day what else should we expect from a religion that is still steeped in barbarism.

About an 8-10% chance of any offspring getting a blue badge would be my bet.

I just can't imagine going to jail, for posting a meme, or carrying the flag of the country you live in.
How can anyone think that is ok?
Let alone telling ANYONE marrying your cousin is ok.
That is just gross.

Gross is a understatement to that practice IMHO , but not so long ago a woman had no say in the matter even in Christian circles , you were to what to do no ifs ands or maybes about it .
When looking at this unsavoury practice in my own family tree lol https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Herschel
She was forced to marry her cousin and have 12 children , her father was a real piece of work ,dragging some poor sod from his bed who missed his church service and burning him to death outside .
They were good artist though , I own her 1823 watercolour and the grand tour watercolours of her husband .
Never argue with a idiot as you will get dragged down to his level and beaten with his vast experience

I had all the webbed feet jokes thrown at me when young but it is water of a ducks back to me lol .
That old peas in a pod saying is true , when i look at her photograph all i see is the double of my aunt Margaret (fathers sister ) , Those people back then understand horse breeding in my family well and seemed to be doing it to humans also .
It was fun recently phoning the curator of Cambridge university and asking him if i could inspect the Herschel letters manually rather than struggling to see the digitised versions online of their correspondence, Mr marble mouth almost had a fit at the thought of me touching them as they were too valuable for gutter scum like me to even think of being in the same room as lol .
Many years before I was handling personal letters from Kings and Queens with gloves on which were being sent to the Scottish archives from a rich family who I was working for that were friends with the royals for a long time .
funny old world eh !
