These are sorta getting like sci-fi creepy pastas now.

It's amazing, but it has Apollo 18, 19, 20, and The Orange Mission (with moon base with the onion people) preceding it in things that are categorically debunked.

But the Freudian slips of those astronauts may not be so unintended. So I'll really indulge.

If they are suppressing humanities greatest achievement their doing so because revealing the Galactic Federation or some truth would destroy people's already tenuous sanity. Has to be something that undermines everything we think we know about our existence. Too shocking to reveal. Like something along matrix lines, only concerning the space/time fabric of the universe itself? Maybe we're an experiment? Built by Macratheans?

What if all you need to traverse the universe is an E. Rosenbridge-o-matic wormhole generator. Or something that involves "reversing the polarity" or "inhibiting quantum thrust."

Honestly, if they're doing all these awesome things and keeping it for the defense cognoscenti, while working with our so called "adversaries," what secret are they putting on this elaborate show of vitriol and politics for?

Just tell us about the Mars Base and alien artifacts and we'll at least have something new to get triggered over.

What's the big reveal?

The universe is a matrix?

What gets undone by saying "Oh yeah, The USA, Russia, UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, and even China have been operating this high-tech Martian laboratory to study an alien outpost of a species that thrived on earth millions of years ago and are a hidden reptilian ancestor that left for some ice age snowball thing they caused."

Like what if both secular tolerance things and environmentalism/green energy things are being pushed by these secret alien contacts, who are sick of stubborness repressing less destructive technology and peace?

What if all intelligent life gets perpetually more hippie and we're just trying their patience for lagging now.

The analogy I like to use is, if you imagine the Earth being the size of a basketball, then the Moon, proportionally, would be the size of a softball 12 feet away.
