Is Science Bullshit?

The first being math, what I believe to be the backbone of science. While math is very handy, the problem is, any amount of space is infinitely divisible. That massive problem has been over looked since math was discovered or invented.

This is TRUE! In any given area there are an infinite number of discrete points. That can be written with math as an infinite series of the digit '9', infinite because there are never enough! You can use basic arithmetic!

X = ...9999999
10 * X = ...99999990
(X - 10 * X) = (...9999999 - ...99999990)
-9 * X = 9
X = -1

This EVERY area contains exactly negative one points which is not enough for any kind of SCIENCE! QED, checkmate!

Most of the "problems" with science... I believe, are "social."

People, their fixations, their ambitions, their 'visions'... all weigh in to the results in some way.

The point of scientific discipline was to offset that natural reality... to make sure that no matter how "brilliant," "prestigious," or "beloved" a scientist is.
Showing them they are wrong is not a matter of ego, or offense.

That goes out the window when millions are spent promoting "celebrity" scientist (especially linking them to 'media-important' issues...)  instead of research.

When groups of scientist started creating 'clubs' of prestige (oddly in Universities mostly)… scientific progress became very dependent on "who you are" and "who's prior work are you interfering with."

Cloistering... I call it... The distancing from the real world in deference to "who you/we are."

Science becomes corrupt whenever it becomes a servant of politics or there's an attempt to mingle it with some ideology.

The modern example would be a totally crazy idea that human activities have a significant impact on climate change or that global warming can be stopped by humans changing their eating or travel habits. Ecology is pseudo-science and it could as well be called religion with green activists posing as self-proclaimed messiahs of the western secular world.

Not to mention the crazy scientists working on the methods of dimming the sun to eliminate skin cancer, WHO "experts" claiming that even moderate drinking of alcohol leads to cancer and doctors encouraging the compulsive washing of hands to protect you from Covid-19.

Am all for insanely objective 'science' and think it's insanely important.

Trouble is (in my view) we absolutely haven't got that and the process (either through corporate or gov money-spinning) has become corrupted 'absolutely'.

''Peer review' these days is just one big joke lol.

Boils down to this:
Science itself is not BS.

The people that wield it have become BS.
Mr. Poops: Read a book, it's like broccoli for your brain.  (Are you even still around?)

The earth provides everything we need.  We thought we could do better.  We were wrong.
