The Beer Thread (What's your go-to?)
#51
I used to drink Molson Ale.
I can't drink beer now ... I have Sjogrens so alcohol burns,
AND I can't do gluten anymore either.

We toured the Yeungling brewery and literally ran into the owner of Yeungling.
Nice regular kind of guy.  Held the door for us.
We were in the tasting room they take you to after the tour for your free tastes.
I can't drink beer anymore so I let my husband have my taste of choice.
He liked it.

I'm about an hour from New Glarus. You need to try their strawberry rhubarb sour. It's to die for.

I also have unopened cans of Billy Beer ( saw your other post about it)

I live in Kentucky,  and there was a time (several years ago) that you couldn't buy Yeungling around here, but you could in Tennessee.  It was an unwritten rule in my area that if you went south, (vacation, road trip, etc.) That you came back with a trunk full and called your buddies.  We would all just take care of each other and give the money back...nobody price jacked....
Now that they sell it in KY, the coolness, the gimmick isn't there.   But Ying-a-ling is pretty tasty. Might get me some tonight .

No.   They all suck, imo.   It's very much like decaf;   you can get used to it if you try, but why would you make  the effort?

Social camouflage. I agree with you but have to note that Athletic Brewing makes some non-alcoholic beers that are okay.

I'm not familiar with that brewer, but I agree with you in part;  there are non-alcoholic beers that aren't a terrible beverage.   Some are not bad.  All of them, imo, are a poor substitute  for an actual beer.   For me it falls under the heading of things that I'd rather give up than endure a shitty substitute.   Everybody is different.   Thumbup

I made a choice to quit alcohol 7 years ago. I do miss a good cold beer. Its best to not even touch nonalcoholic beer!
Be kind to everyone!

Only have one or two every four years or so.  Concert, family gathering.

Yuengling's home brewery is in Pottstown PA, not York.
Nothing good comes out of York except dumbells
