Yooper or Troll?

I drank for about ten years to enjoy a life of not thinking so much, but cut way down over forty years ago.  If I drank two beers or drinks, I just had brainfog the next day, If I drank over three, I would have a headache and hangover for three days....so if I drank over two, might as well have five in a night, only added an extra day to the hangover....hair of the dog did not work for me at all.  I actually have genetic traits that they make pills to treat alcoholics with to stop them from drinking, I do not create the enzymes that the pills actually block...the pills give those alcoholics major hangovers from talking to a few people I know who got those meds after getting in trouble with drinking.

Now, I rarely drink except for one occasionally, but I am constantly researching things to challenge my mind.  When I started my business forty one years ago, I had to think properly, so I had to stop most of my drinking or I would never have made any money or been able to learn as much as I did.  I also quit smoking pot mostly about that time, that will dumb you down too, but no hangover.  So I switched my dumbing down to food chemistries, growing up as a nerd was not fun....and now I still have problems with talking over people's heads even though I try to put things into layman's terms.

IPA’s are too skunky for me.
I prefer red beers and ales mostly if I have a choice.

At the end of the day there are only two kinds of beer…
Cold and free.

My go to is Shiner Bock.(Texas)
If I can find Abita Amber(Louisiana) or 805(California) or Smithwicks(Ireland) or Killians Irish Red(Colorado) then I’ll go for one of them instead.
If I’m in the pool all day or day drinking I’ll stick to coors light. Don’t shoot me. LoL

Beer threads are the best imho.

I agree with you on the reds.
Smithwicks or Killians...also will take a Belgian 'Fat Tire' if I must.

Blue Moon with a lime wedge is the best for chasing down the vodka.

Or with an orange wedge! Are there any good beers with no alcohol?

For those who like a stronger ale, I can recommend Fullers ESB, Theakstons Old Peculiar and Marston s Owd Rodger.

In moderation, unless you like a headache....

Then, of course there's a SnakeBite Special.

Scrumpy Jack Cider, blackcurrant and Pernod.

Scrumptious.

Not beer, but a guilty pleasure, Brandy and Babycham.

But only on Tuesdays.....

I'll get my coat....
