After some thought, we’ve decided to officially close down the Deny Politics section on Deny Ignorance.
This wasn’t a snap decision. The section brought a lot of activity, but it also shifted the tone of the site in a direction that doesn’t align with what DI was built to be. At its core, Deny Ignorance has always been about curiosity, exploration, and diving into the unknown. UFOs, conspiracies, the strange corners of reality that make you think twice. The politics section, more often than not, pulled us away from that and into the same repetitive, divisive cycles you can find everywhere else on the internet.
There’s no hard feelings toward anyone who contributed there. Conversations got heated, opinions clashed. That’s the nature of politics. But it became clear that it wasn’t adding to the kind of community we want to build here long-term.
Going forward, we’re refocusing on what DI does best. The weird, the unexplained, the thought-provoking. The stuff that brought most of you here in the first place.
The section will remain visible in an archived state for the time being, but no new threads or replies will be allowed.
Appreciate everyone who was part of it. Now let’s get back to denying ignorance.
