Mark Zuckerberg is said to have started work on Koolau Ranch, his sprawling 1,400-acre compound on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, as far back as 2014.

 It is set to include a shelter, complete with its own energy and food supplies, though the carpenters and electricians working on the site were banned from talking about it by non-disclosure agreements, according to a report by Wired magazine.
 A six-foot wall blocked the project from view of a nearby road.
 Asked last year if he was creating a doomsday bunker, the Facebook founder gave a flat "no". The underground space spanning some 5,000 square feet is, he explained, "just like a little shelter, it's like a basement".
 That hasn't stopped the speculation - likewise about his decision to buy 11 properties in the Crescent Park neighbourhood of Palo Alto in California, apparently adding a 7,000 square feet underground space beneath.

It may be only a weird billionaire status-symbol thing.

Like if one of them gets an underground bunker, they will brag about it and then all the other billionaire need one too.

Or maybe they simply want some peace and quiet sometimes. That would be nice, sigh, I empathize.

Also there is the whole plan to wipe out 2/3 of the human population. It might be that.

Some of the stories I checked it was just storm shelters. The massive wow excessive thing for the common man is a Mc Donalds meal for the billionaires. I wouldn't be surprised if some if them didn't even know they had bunkers

Perhaps the chickens are coming home to roost, folks are waking up to what's been done to them via technology, pharmaceuticals, poison in our food, poison on the television, on the phone, now it's coming through the front door, ambushing you on the street for the crime of having a slightly different opinion, all because reddit told them it was righteous. Actions have consequences, after all. 

Zuck, I'd expect nothing less from that coward, one of the main pawns in DARPA's LifeLog endeavor. LifeLog (Facebook) is just the tip of the iceberg in a much wider mass surveillance scheme we've all been subject to in recent times. Of course the players are a little different now, but these tech gurus are scumbags all the same. Zuck clearly knows what's good for him so he's running to the hills like so many others complicit in the hell that's been wrought on society. It ain't gonna matter in the end though, be it THE apocalypse or their own personal apocalypse.
