In planning a car trip yesterday, in desperation, I turned to my several, old printed copies of road atlas' that I have retained (but never use anymore). Slowly, I came to realize how important those old copies would be if we suddenly lost, entirely, our electronic grid that we rely so heavily upon for travel these days.
There would be no dropping into your local gas station or convenience store for maps. They are not there anymore, or their supply would quickly run out in times of peril.
