So, what happens now?

The economy will pick up and soon get back to where it would have been if we hadn’t elected a senile old codger with half a dozen bankruptcies to his name to dick around with his voodoo economic theories.

Ah.  What's he gonna do about the Courts?  So much for the rule of law I guess.

Were the Judges Trump appointed?

The nuclear option that neither party has touched is adding more seats. Number of justices aren’t outlined in the constitution… but starting this slippery slope would just mean every new admin would load the bench, and the court would lose all meaning.

Other than that, there isn’t anything he can do. Its separation of powers.

Congress makes the laws, SCOTUS interprets the laws and constitution.

I think the more he fights back on this, the worse it looks. He’s upset the constitution is blocking him, and a republican leaning court overturned his appeal. The tariffs were deemed unconstitutional by lower courts and upheld by the Supreme Court. Pretty cut and dry.

So, what happens now?

At this moment Trump is in the White House spitting nickels and jumping up and down stomping his feet.   That's what happens now.    What happens in the future .... he continues to test the limits of his power as every POTUS does and he'll come up with some other way to try to get his agenda done.   It'll go on for a while.   It will be challenged.   And then we'll see what the ruling is on the next thing.

If the SCOTUS ruled that the tariffs are illegal (for the most part), then the money collected by those tariffs should be considered "stolen".

Full restitution should be required!
