Here's the first trailer for Steven Spielberg's next movie due out next Summer.

It looks to me like he could be back on form onto a winner here??

Looks kinda spooky.
I can't do spooky movies.
I get creeped out too easily.
I'll have to think about it.
Probably a good movie for everyone else though.

Let's see what comes out of this, but I don't expect much.

I got the spooky alien vibe from the trailer and thought it was D.I. worthy!!

I imagine it won't be too spooky as the age ratings will be aimed at a wider audience.

Well I feel Spielberg has lost a little of his edge with his more recent movies, but then he did do some fantastic alien themed movies over the years, so maybe this could be more like his classic stuff?

It looks like a more adult orientated E.T. or a modern Close Encounters!

My favourite Spielberg movie is "Duel", all others I find average or worse.

Regarding the apparent spookiness, I think it was added to reach a bigger audience and/or not to make it too directly connected to an explanation of the phenomenon.
Let's see. Smile

  • Plot Point: Reports suggest the story will explore whether the life discovered is extraterrestrial, interdimensional, or a different form of intelligence entirely.

The interdimensional slant will be interesting
