I knew some folks, all of whom I genuinely considered friends, or at least friendly... but they were of a different heritage and culture, and were in no way inclined not to cook some things that were (admittedly from my perspective) foul and reminiscent of 'putrefaction.' They kind of gave of the vibe of "remembering home" over the whole deal. I explained my perceptions as best I could, they were understanding. I got lucky. I suppose they could have tried to commit me to eat with them, or feigned offense... but they sort of 'got it.' I don't doubt they had heard it before.
I'm kind of with you on the whole "I do what I want" approach she took... that's a game changer for me too.
I totally understand you!
I loved her so much but I could not take her cooking smell anymore lol! My 16 year old lives with her half the week and she drives him crazy too with her cooking!
Poor kid!
Be kind to everyone!
