I think Jesus wound up regretting his choice to not relate to YOU.
Grab a neighbor’s skeleton to lean upon is a reference to Genesis 3:22 which is often esoterically associated with a Skull and Bones symbol
“Behold the Man has become as one of us, to know good and evil, now lest he THROW OUT HIS HAND, and take from the tree of life, and live forever…”
The sigh means what, we've disappointed you?
So if we suppose that you are correct in saying this is about Jesus, then, I must ask was the lyricist familiar with the book The Last Temptation of Christ ?
Quote:The novel opens with Jesus in the desert, wrestling with his divine calling and the knowledge of his imminent death. Throughout the book, Jesus grapples with his human desires and the temptation to lead a normal life, away from the suffering and sacrifice that he knows awaits him. Despite his reservations, Jesus decides to follow through with his mission, ultimately leading to his arrest, trial, and crucifixion.
However, the climax of the novel takes a different turn as Jesus is shown dying on the cross, only to awaken in a vision of a world where he did not die and instead lived a long, normal life with Mary Magdalene as his wife after choosing to abandon his calling. In this world, Jesus experiences love, pain, and suffering just as any other human being would.
As he lives out his life in this alternate world, Jesus begins to question whether or not his divine mission was worth all of the suffering that he went through. Eventually, he realizes that though he would have been content with living as a normal man, his death is rendered meaningless, and his teachings forgotten. Accepting that his destiny is to sacrifice himself for the sake of humanity, Jesus willingly returns to his fate as the son of God.
The novel concludes with Jesus ascending to heaven, leaving behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and redemption.
I read the book shortly after the movie came out in 1988.
My thoughts on the book were that the author was projecting his own feelings and ideas onto Jesus.
Isn't that what many people do? It's like Jesus is an empty vessel into which we place our morals and worldviews, and then we say "Hey look, Jesus agrees with me and I agree with Jesus, so we must be correct"?
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

Sigh for the hard swerve.
Like I said, I think famous Rock lyricists are getting much of their lines from occult sources.
I never read the book or saw the movie, but I at least know The Last Temptation of Christ portrays the crucifixion as the premeditated murder of Jesus Christ, literally a punishment from priests and the king and a mob of blood thirsty voyeurs, for his interpretation of The Old Testament.
The punishment doesn’t fit the crime, it is unbelievably cruel and unusual.
Instead I interpret the crucifixion as an orgy.
Have you ever perused the Reddit threads on “Semen Retention”?
The commenters there are heaping huge praise for the practice’s sexual magnetism effect.
I think Jesus practiced retention for so many years, his vitality went from a 46 year old to a 30 year old. That would have seriously increased his sexual magnetism. We all know the Roman Empire loved practicing orgies. The temptation must have proved irresistible.
But actually, a 46 year old using his newfound magnetism to lure in young hotties like reeds in the wind for an orgy is major Epstein vibes IMO.

If man actually knew good and evil then why could not man live forever? Wouldn't that be an ideal situation for your creation to become as one of you, then also live forever?
I actually do not wonder where atheist rockers get their lyrics because the Bible writes it for them with confusion and contradictions.

The condition is for Man to throw out their hands, and take from the tree of life.
if your right hand offends, chop it off, so to speak.

The right hand may offend some while not others, so 'no'.
