Paranormal and other Bizarre Happenings
#11
I once had a job where I worked at night on my own in an old renovated building that had been used as a morgue during the second world war. The odd member of staff would say to me on occasion ' I don't know how you can do that.

It did get to me after a while. The creepiest place for me wasn't the basement where the bodies had once been kept but upstairs in the attic where the creche was. I'd have to set the alarm system before leaving and there was always somewhere I'd have to go to close a door or window. When the creche showed up my heart would sink. There was always a quiet hissing noise from the air conditioner or something and shelves of toys and dolls
It was an old building and there was always the odd noise or two as well.

I eventually left but they wanted me back so I had a chat with the manager, not about the creepiness though. I just said I'd come back if I could change my hours and come in with the morning staff. It worked out fine after that. I think once you get the creeps, that's it!

Existence/Reality is like an onion; not because it makes you cry, but because of all its layers.

The Seagull Incident

Once I was experimenting around 2017 and I felt a really strong unknown presence; it seemed like such a profound feeling that I went upstairs to tell my friend about it, and as I was going upstairs I could hear seagulls, and as I got to the kitchen I could see them arriving by the dozens. Me and my friend went outside and we could see them in the yard and all over the house; the neighbors too, at which point I proceeded to tell my friend what I was going upstairs to tell them.

I have had a few paranormal or at least unexplained phenomena happen to me over the years. The most recent happened either late last year or earlier this year. I don't remember the specific date. But I had just come home from an outing and walked upstairs. I entered our master bedroom and saw a green light emanating from the window. It was coming from above, almost like it was shining downward. It was bizarre, and I had a malevolent eerie feeling wash over me when I saw it. I approached it to see what it was and it promptly disappeared. I was wide awake and not under the influence of any substances. I told my wife about it immediately...very strange.

Moderate Sleep Paralysis

Not really paranormal or that bizarre, but I just had a moderate bout of sleep paralysis right before coming down here. I woke up and went upstairs for something, and one of the cats was hanging out in the living room, so I went over to the recliner to see if I could coax her into hanging out with me and maybe have a nap there. I went in and out of a couple hypnagogic/hypnopompic states and on the last one my upper body was paralyzed, but I could move my legs a bit, so I kept doing that until I came out of it.

SP can be a bit unnerving, even for someone who's experienced it as much as I have over the years.
