Somali fraud scandal
#61
I'll wait for the auditor's independent report as to how it happened and how much was stolen and not run with unsubstantiated or government repeated opinions from X.com. Walz also said that many Somali's didn't know they were signed up for these programs that were stealing from the government.

--------------------

"Meanwhile, Walz’s office told Fox News Digital this week that the governor “views addressing fraud as a top priority” and highlighted his efforts over the past three years to reform state government and prevent fraud.Walz’s office said "The Governor has brought in an outside firm to audit payments to high-risk programs at the Department of Human Services (DHS) and created a specialized fraud fighting law enforcement unit at the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension."

“He has installed new leadership at DHS with a single-minded focus on stopping fraudulent payments,” the statement said. “Many of the changes have not been flashy or headline-grabbing, but rather just the hard work of building stronger safeguards throughout state government.”

The controversy has drawn national attention in recent weeks as Minneapolis grapples with a massive fraud scandal that experts say could cost taxpayers more than $1 billion."

Next, somebody needs to install a financial watchdog auditing group at the White House, that should prove very interesting.
"The only journey is the one within."

Walz is as corrupt as the day is long.
He's also an incompetent boob ... total Elmer Fudd.
Can't believe any of his spin.
He's caught with his pants down ... again.

I believe there is more going on than we realize.

Forgotten History- Somali fraud.

From the Wall Street Journal December 23 page A13
"Minnesota Paid Dearly for Saving $1 million" by O.J. Oleka

"...It's hard to beat Minnesota decision to eliminate its elected state treasurer position. It helped pave the way for one of the biggest frauds in American history."

In 1998 the "supposed voters" approved an amendment to Minnesota's constitution that would allow this position to be eliminated.

In 2003 they did away with the position and scattered the authority across various state agencies.

Bottom line "Who was minding the store? The uncomfortable answer is that no one elected by the people held that responsibility or had the mandate and clout to stop the scheme."

Plus we can add to the mix we are all racist if we question anything.

It's about to get worse-

Really makes one question why he was selected to run as Kamala's VP and even more questionable, with all this going on, why he agreed to run. One would think that he would want to keep the lid on all of this.

This thing has a Mafia vibe to it.

There's a "Top Dog" -- threats and kickbacks.

There's always the unscrupulous opportunist -- but why/how did it go on for as long as it did -- with no red flags.  Or were the red flags just ignored.

Plenty of red flags! Cops were ordered not to harass Somali men with millions of dollars of CASH in their briefcases flying out of the state!

CIA was getting kickbacks for overseas ops there you can bet on that. Which is why they had their stooge Vance Boelter kill those two legislators. They had worked to stop the payments and aid to the Somali" charities".

Sounds like Mafia method.

Do you have factual backup about cops getting kickbacks?

The Wall Street Journal has an article today covering more of the Somali fraud.

"A Tale of Two States on Medicaid."

It appears that it wasn't just confined to Minnesota.

"In one alleged scheme two men from Philadelphia heard from a friend that Minnesota's Medicaid program was a 'good opportunity' to make money. They registered as house providers despite no connection to the state. Minnesota was the first state to let Medicaid funds be used for housing services for the disabled and recovering addicts. The defendants billed Medicaid for fake services."

"Two other defendants allegedly set up a company, Pristine Health, and worked with another provider, Foundation First, which was in the business of generating fake paperwork for those trying to scam Medicare."

This is mind boggling.

"The two defendants also allegedly worked with an unnamed company , which promised to help welfare fraudsters 'grow [their] clientele' and achieve BIG profit."

It goes on and on. In home care was also scammed. A healthcare business was billing for 24 hour care and in one case the mentally ill man they were "supposedly" caring for was found dead in his home.

Walz can claim that they are going to inspect the claims more closely, however, there is little incentive to identify fraud and waste because it is a federal program.

Can't wait until they start with California- the land where money just disappears.

This video is starting to go viral. A Youtuber Nick Shirley went to several places owned and ran by Somalis who were supposed to be providing services like healthcare and day care, but when he tried to get into the offices, he was refused and they even called the police. The "daycare centers" got millions from the Federal govt, but there were no children there and according to several sources, they hadn't seen any children there since it opened in 2017. It's a long video, but well worth watching.

If you read the reports -- it talks about that and other incidents.
