So how did the latest shooter know where Trump would be ??

I'd also like to add that some felons, not all, deserve a restitution of rights after their sentence is completed. Which is possible under state law, but not the feds. While the law exists on the books for federal restitution, congress doesn't appropriate any money to it.

Hate this man for what he did certainly, but I know and work with a plethora of former gangbangers and felons and the people I call my friends are hard working family people that have left that life behind long ago. That certainly doesn't apply to everyone though, but there's a lot of people out there trying to wash the stain off of them for a decision they made 20 years ago. That to me isn't right. Not when they've served their sentence.

Handgun sales here release same day too at a gun shop, but we're not required to register firearms here. I'd rather pay cash on a private sell and keep the fed boys out of my business. Our gun laws are the only thing keeping me living in the south.

The rifle apparently has had the serial number removed. Some people think it is a SKS, rather than a AK.

Staked out on the scene for 11.5 hours BEFORE the shooting. Someone leaked where trump would be.

Interesting how they used two scrawny dudes to carry out the plans. And I think I know why — plausible deniability.

The shooter was arrested by local police, almost an hour later, and fifty miles north of Mar-A-Lago, and charged with state, not federal crimes.

It's the golf course named after him right by Mar-a-Lago. About two miles away. Trump has preference to play the courses named after and owned by him, and he always plays golf on off days.

I don't think you need leaked knowledge to predict him.

Quote:Golf Digest asked some famous golfers to list their 10 favorite U.S. courses. One of them, whose identity will be obvious, named the following, in order: Trump National Golf Club Bedminster (N.J.); Winged Foot; Trump National Golf Club Westchester (N.Y.); Trump International Golf Club, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Augusta National; Cypress Point; Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles; Oakmont; Trump National Golf Club Philadelphia; Pebble Beach.

He plays the course he was on A LOT..

It was known Trump was going to Mar-a-Lago on his day off leading up to Monday. The Airport he landed at, the residence he went to, and the golf course he planned to play at were all in a few miles of each-other. Any politician obsessed lunatic stalker that is reminiscent of Gary Busey can pull this off, even being a few cards short.

That's honestly my best answer for how he arrived in position 4 hours after Trump landed (@10:08 PM) at West Palm Beach Intl. Trump landed, and a few hours later, at 2 AM, this guy is staking out his golf course. I think Trump just might be that predictable.

Some more interesting points to consider. Florida is doing their own investigation and basically telling the feds to pound sand... https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/poli...248464007/

The shooter had backing IMO from some 3 letter agency...I say that because of all the run-ins with law enforcement he walks free even after felonies

Picture is at the bottom right of the collage. Still where did he get this gun. Also is it an AK styled rifle or just a bolt action that we are being told is an AK-47. It would be nice to have a clearer picture of the rifle before the Narrative changes. I already heard twice this morning that it was an AR styled rifle, even though it was reported as an AK-47 by law enforcement.

I can tell you this much...the rifle in the picture is chambered in 7.62 x 39mm (which would put it in the AK/SK variant category).  How you can tell is by the curvature of the magazine.  The 7.62 x 39mm cartridge has a tapered case (more tapered than the 5.56 x 45mm, or .223 as it is commonly known as by civilians in North America).  This taper requires a much sharper curve in the magazine to make each cartridge rest flat against those below it.  If the magazine isn't curved like this the firearm will jamb when attempting to feed cartridges out of the magazine.

AR style magazines also have a slight curvature to them for the same reason, but because the 5.56 x 45mm cartridge wall is not tapered as much as the 7.62 x 39mm it doesn't require the sharper curve.

Additionally, in looking at the picture, this is not a typical AK, and definitely not an AK-47 or AK-74, or even a WASR (Romanian).  Looks to me like it is a SKS which has been re-stocked with a fiberglass stock with a more pronounced grip and comb.  This practice is common on SKS rifles because the OEM stocks were so short (almost toy-like, short).  SKS type rifles are quite old (the AK's replaced them, and they're even old now).  The SKS is a notoriously poor performing rifle, but some of them could be 'tuned up' to fire reliably.  Also, something doesn't look right to me about the barrel.  It looks quite a bit longer than a standard SKS barrel, but it's definitely not a Dragonov (for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is the magazine)

I told my wife yesterday that because this dude got pinched by the local boys that DeSantis would not make it easy on the federal boys when they tried to vanish him.

Does look SKS with a detachable magazine mod on it, but given how it was going to be used and the fact that this guy was in Ukraine not long ago, I wonder if it might be a SVD that's been modified for California compliance, but still have the magazine port accessible. An SKS would be a poor choice of a rifle to use for a possible 500-700 yard shot but the SVD would fit the bill quite nicely.

I see that the local papers (and USA Today) are saying it was a SKS though.
Experts say Trump's would-be assassin had an SKS, not an AK-47. What's the difference? (msn.com)
Quote:The suspect, Ryan Routh, 58, ran for it but he left behind what Bradshaw described as an AK-47-style assault rifle, along with a backpack and a GoPro camera. However, firearms experts have pointed out that based on the grainy photos available, the weapon looks more like an SKS.

I guess we need to wait till more solid information comes out. Either way we should be looking at where the rifle came from. I'm betting that it was sold out the back of some FBI guys car.

Yeah, but as I noted, no way would it be a Dragunov (SVD).  You'd have to be crazy to switch out the stock on one of those!  Even a copy is worth $10k, and the furniture on one of those things is absolutely beautiful.  Plus, you can tell from the mag that it's the wrong caliber.  An Dragunov is chambered in 7.62 x 54mmR which was the original cartridge for the Mosin-Nagant dating clear back to the 1800's.  You can see in the picture that the mag isn't long enough for a 54mm cartridge, and it's too curved for that cartridge also.  Plus the mags on the Dragunov were 10 round box mags.

On a personal note, I'd give my eye teeth for a genuine Dragunov!  I'd love to own one of those things!  I've got rifles which will shoot much further and way more accurately, but just the "Cool Factor" alone makes me want one.  "Coolness" just drips off one of those things!
