This sculpture, Sin Cerebro (Without a Brain), is my first completed sculpture in Mexico.
It is a surrealist sculpture describing a person unable and unwilling to see truth in anything, because they’ve been brainwashed into a lie. Regardless of facts or evidence of a matter, these people are incapable of seeing truth. They absolutely will resist any idea beyond the propaganda they willingly expose themselves to on a daily basis. I see it as willful ignorance, to be honest, and it is going to kill even more people than it already has since 2020.
The form of the sculpture is a surrealist analogy. I’m describing a story about telling someone that their hair is on fire. And yes, that maybe true, however, because of the propaganda they have been exposed to and brainwashed by, that their hair is not on fire, they are prevented from realising the truth, and that is that their hair is actually on fire. They are Sin Cerebro.
Secondly, I’m using a medical looking mask to serve as the perfect demonstration of the willingness to obey propaganda. And I’m doing that because masks were never about protection from anything. They were singularly about conforming to fascist totalitarian diktats and propaganda. And those that followed and are still following along, they are Sin Cerebro.
Enjoy.

There's truth then there's assumed truth.
It could all be a simulation where even our senses can't be trusted... Gotta trust something though.
Nice mask, I particularly like the mask, it gave a giggle. Excellent carving, assuming it was carved of course.

Well, there is truth and then there are probabilities, considered opinions based on facts, evidence. There is belief, of course, and that's where the problems start.
As for simulation, well who knows, and you're absolutely correct, even if a simulation is true we can only really trust the reality that we have to deal with.
And it is a sculpture that has been carved just as much as the statue of David by Michael Angelo is an awesome bit of stone chipping,

Assumed truth - it's on the news so it should be true! That said it doesn't work out well when a person questions everyone in any form of authority in their field such as doctors, cops, builders, journalists etc.
It's stone? I honestly thought it was something like pinewood or spruce

I'm not clear on exactly where you're going with this .... so I'm assuming POs law at the moment so directly assuming what you've written.
So you believe what you see and hear on the TV ........ and you don't think it's ok to question people who may well be influenced to do things that are not necessarily in your best interests ......
This is 2025 ....

I was giving a basic explanation of assumed truth. The assumption that a professional in their field is worthy of trust and accept things at face value.
I also gave an opinion that not trusting any professional anywhere is a slippery slope. I guess I could've just said due diligence is wise but that would've been open to even more interpretation.
I don't really watch terrestrial TV, it usually tailors to an audience with an attention span longer than a goldfish.
It's good to question everything?
