Scientists locate the largest gold deposit on the planet
#1
Eureka! They found it! The worlds biggest of all mother loads! GOLD!

But why is it in China? Why can't that be here abouts, in my neck of the woods?
Quote:Confirmed – Scientists locate the largest gold deposit on the planet and surprise international markets

. . . Chinese geologists have identified roughly 1,000 metric tons of metal locked under Hunan.
That gold deposit translates to about 32 million ounces, a haul worth north of $80 billion at recent prices.
The grade splashed across social feeds —138 grams per ton— is eye‑popping. For comparison, many modern bulk mines make money at 1–4 g/t. But grades that high usually refer to selected veins within a system, not the average ore you can mine economically at scale.

Here is another earlier article from last year on this . . .

This sure seems like a game changer to me, unless the West can pull some rare earth metals and other PMs out of their asses. Finally time to learn Mandarin and read the Little Red Book so I don't appear retarded to our honorable masters.

So, now the price of gold will plummit. An over abundance of anything makes the proce drop like a rock.

Just look at what happened to aluminum. It was once only for very rich people.

That guy in the buy gold and silver TV commercials is going to be crying.
I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

I thought the same thing, except about the guy in the gold commercial.

The gold is deep down and will take a lot of effort to bring it up. It will be years before they get down to the source and actually start mining it. It won't suddenly flood the market after that, because it will take more time to get all the mines rolling as it is going to take more than a single mine.

With that amount of money involved even after the price fall, some company is already working on a remote mining method. Smaller mining equipment that can be lowered in bore holes and remote controlled. They have been practicing for years on mining game apps.

Today's gold price is already down over $50 USD per oz.
