With so much going on in the world and tensions with everyday life, I want to see how many of you can really, and I mean really, say something nice about someone or something that has you all bent out of shape. I don't want to see humor (ok, maybe a little humor), but seriously find something nice to say about someone who is not your number 1 bestie. I will start:
I find that the liberal protestors have a lot of passion in what they believe in and as such, they go hard when they don't see humanity at its best. They do what they feel is helping humanity for that particular cause they are protesting about.
your turn.......

“Something nice”. There.
Well I dunno about despising someone, as that takes energy I don’t possess and conviction I don’t harbor either. At least in that regard. I agree about the protestors. With the caveat that I think protesting now aligns with what “your side” feels is the new shiny that needs to be hated on and demonized.
Having that said, I’ll play. I always try to imagine in my short life which prez I would share a beer with. I still struggle to identify the man that fits this bill. Mind you was drunk off tequila when Obama got elected the first time. Like “Yay! We did it!” Only to be let down. Anywho Trump don’t drink so there’s that, and he ain’t the one anyway.
Having said that, I think HE thinks he’s doing the right thing no matter what. And while I don’t agree with him personally or politically, THAT is conviction. I might not like it but it is. And I think he does love this country. He just shows it in a strange way.

Obama was terrible as President, but he looked damn good in a suit.
Bush, Clinton and Trump look like they slept in their clothes, but credit where credit is due, Obama could rock those suits.

I have daffodils starting to pop up. I was getting some groceries out of my car yesterday and noticed something bright green by the driveway. I thought it was a piece of paper or something so I walked around to see what it was and sure enough it was a daffodil coming out.
After I put the groceries away I went back outside and I found a couple more in the flower beds.

OK, I have said something, and it was easy, because no-one was there to hear.

Where is the "nice" bit? All I read is "simping" for really selfish ignorant bullies who think their feelings should control other people's worlds.
Most liberals clam up when confronted about their beliefs, so what's nice about that?
Your turn.

I like how MAGA conservatives always have such well maintained properties and fortified compounds. Their lifted trucks with full-sized flags are immaculate, their stills in the backwoods make great white lighting, and their gun racks, safes, collections, and arsenals, are almost always registered and safely maintained in pristine form.
Wait, I dont think I am doing this right...
Okay... So what I really like is how much shit MAGA lets me talk without curtailing my right to do so or trying to cancel me for it. And if it was a true authoritarian analog i'd be a re-education camp by now.
So thank you for keeping at least amendments 1 through 10 intact (for me) in your really uncomfortably-changing (for me) version of America.
And the way my side handles uncomfortable social change requires a lot more allocated police resources and crowd control. Except that one time...
Otherwise MAGA bitched online for 4 years, rallied around the Fauci-oppressed, freaked about rainbows, reposted influencers, and got misinformation policed. Then came together and kicked the shit out of us by landslide for the attempted progressive policy change, mind war, and reindoctrination of traditional culture.
/End Role-Reversal comment.

It's a beautiful sunny day in the desert.
Heard thumping outside my bedroom window this morning.
Went outside to investigate. A cottontail rabbit jumped out from behind my wood box, zigzagged across the yard then disappeared over a mound.
Made me smile.

I appreciate the liberals or democrats idea that we should all be seen as equal and respected for our differences.
“The American press is a shame and a reproach to a civilized people. When a man is too lazy to work and too cowardly to steal, he becomes an editor and manufactures public opinion.”

I saw a beautiful cardinal to day... alone amongst dozens of finches (and sparrows) but it shone like a star...
It made me feel good to witness it...
When I turned, I saw my child...
Maybe we must first be willing to 'see before' before any 'saying' of it can be honest...
