Safe town?

Remember, we'd (State concensus) rather be delusional clowns than get a pat on the back for helping.

(Attempted) Safe County to adhere to SB54:

It really depends how much the local PD's want to do.

The Sheriff's department defies it. They can't be seen participating in raids, but they will forward names of undocumented migrants with a criminal record to ICE.

Strangely, the 25 immigrants they most recently transfered to ICE custody happened in 2023.

The Sheriff patrols rural county and the cities of Del Mar, Encinitas, Imperial Beach, Lemon Grove, Poway, San Marcos, Santee, Solana Beach and Vista.

PD Breakdown:

SDPD - won't assist/restricts ICE from facilities
National City PD - won't assist/restricts ICE from facilities
Chula Vista PD - won't assist/restricts ICE from facilities
Escondido PD - won't assist/restricts ICE from facilities
Carlsbad PD - Limited/restricts ICE from facilites
Oceanside PD - won't assist/restricts ICE from facilities

Of The Biggest 7 departments, only one has spoken in defiance of California's definance.

And now people are freaking out because all the immigration lawyers and advocates who are citizens are getting "unintentional" deportation letters. Which are being seen as an "oopsie" way of harrassing immigration advocates and intimidating them.

As far as how good that's all doing.

"Why are 46% of the people held without criminal record if Trump is only targeting criminals?"

Those are the questions that make the local majority the "clowns" that influence police departments to not assist ICE.

It's too bad the 22,249 aren't unborn fetuses. Then people would have no problem with my state using its rights to protect them.

Thank you for explaining your stance on safe cities/towns!

My next question is then are the people who are ok with promoting this ok with losing federal funding?

Entering illegally is an actual crime, and from what I’ve heard is that immigration is going after hard criminals first, the others here illegally are being offered an app to help exit and some money to return so they can enter legally in the future.

On a personal note, one of my favorite people is a girl from Syria whom I’m friends with. She has shared her story with me over the years, and trust me their life there was perilous. It took her family 13 years, and they applied and followed up the legal way. Her sister is still stuck there as is her Dr husband. So how is it fair that people whom this country knows nothing about can jump the line, drain our SSI, housing market, driving up costs across the board because let’s face it, supply and demand is a driving factor in all these increases in costs and depletion of our systems?

If lawyers are doing their best lawful work, they wouldn’t have to worry about “being targeted”, more victim language for the covering of illegal poor behavior imo.

Off to fight clowns ;)
In tune
