Could be true.  But also could be false.
I'm finding no other rumors or prophecies to match up.
(except maybe "Peter the Roman" from the St. Malachy prophecies
since Pope Leo said to a crowd "I am Roman", so that revives the
St. Malachy prophecies that I thought had died with his election)

The talk around the water cooler is that we might be passing through the same debris field that may or may not have caused the great flood at the end of the Younger Dryas period. Its the theory detailing when a string of space debris hit the earth along the northern hemisphere wiping out 70% of North America's mega fauna, causing a massive melting of the ice caps which caused substantial flooding on the land and raising the ocean levels by 300 feet. [snipped] Whatever happens wont kill everyone off but it will make life suck for a while. Or nothing happens and life will still suck because the gov sucks. Personally I vote for the meteor, this planet needs a reset.
