Thai F16s bomb casino military headquarters

Thailand has deployed F-16 fighter jets to bomb a casino and alleged drone base in Cambodia, weeks after Donald Trump brokered a peace deal between the two countries.
The airstrikes were launched on Monday after each side accused the other of breaking the fragile ceasefire. The US president had claimed the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia as one of the eight wars he had “ended”.

According to Thai sources, Cambodian troops crossed the 508-mile border at several points and opened fire, wounding eight troops and killing one.
Thailand then launched air and ground operations, including the strike on a casino complex near the border. Four Cambodian civilians are believed to have died.
Winthai Suvaree, a Thai military spokesman, claimed the casino was a “command centre for drones” and was used to store heavy weaponry and munitions.
Later on Monday, General Chaiyapruek Duangprapat, the Thai army’s chief of staff, said a new goal of crippling Cambodia’s military capability and neutralising the threat it posed had been set.
Anutin Charnvirakul, the Thai prime minister, said in a televised speech: “Thailand has never wished for violence. I’d like to reiterate that Thailand has never initiated a fight or an invasion, but will never tolerate a violation of its sovereignty.”

Meanwhile, Cambodia blamed its neighbour for triggering the fighting.

In Thailand, more than 50,000 people have been evacuated to shelters and at least three hospitals near the border in the easternmost Ubon Ratchathani province have been closed. Likewise, residents have left Cambodian villages in zones considered dangerous.
The latest clashes between the two countries are the most serious since July, when 48 people were killed and around 300,000 displaced during a five-day stand-off ostensibly caused by differing interpretations of a colonial-era map from 1907.

Mu Sochua, the head of the opposition Khmer Movement for Democracy, told the Telegraph from Paris: “The conflict with Cambodia and Thailand is a conflict that goes back centuries. You can’t just pull two boxers away from each other and say stop fighting – they’re still in the ring.”
She added that Cambodia’s government had used the deal as an opportunity to win favour with President Trump, who they nominated for a Nobel Peace prize.
Even before this week, the peace had appeared fragile and the agreement faltered repeatedly. Last month, Thailand announced that it would suspend indefinitely the implementation of the agreement after some of its troops were injured by landmines.

Isn't this one of the wars Trump was to supposed to have ended??
Well it sure looks like things aren't that peaceful between Thailand and Cambodia, and this could be an escalation of their cross boarder disagreements into something more war like..

Peace treaties are fragile no matter who brokered it. Still says something positive about Trumps influence and his intentions.

For example I wonder if this would be reported at all if Trump hadnt been involved, let alone created a thread about here.

Other than dozzy Don claiming he'd sorted it, when he'd done no such thing?? Thailand and Cambodia, just like India and Pakistan have regular boarder disputes.

People post threads about all kinds of subjects including about when disputes show up on feeds because of possible escalation!! This is no different.

It won't happen but Thailand could topple the X-Pol Pot leaders of Cambodia and the world would be better off for it. Everything China touches seems to be immoral and just plain wrong.. Scam centers, organ harvesting, baby organ harvesting, you name the crime and China has their stinky fingertips in it.
Quote:As the Thailand-Cambodia conflict escalates, a deeper power struggle—far beyond borders and headlines—is quietly coming into view. Public attention has focused on military clashes and diplomatic statements. But beneath the surface, a more complex network of power, interests, and hidden arrangements is shaping how this conflict unfolds. In this episode, we examine what the strikes and escalations have revealed—and why recent developments point to forces operating well beyond the battlefield. From cross-border criminal networks and opaque institutional expansions, to shifting internal dynamics and growing public unease, a broader picture begins to emerge. We also look at why certain models once operating overseas appear to be reconfiguring, and how regional instability may be exposing deeper structural struggles. The sharp contrast between official narratives and public reactions offers an important clue into where real pressure is building. This is not just a story about Cambodia or Thailand. It is about how power moves, how interests realign, and why conflicts on the surface often conceal far deeper struggles beneath.
