Terry Ann Garr (December 11, 1944 – October 29, 2024), known as Teri Garr, passed today

I remember thinking her so beautiful and funny.

She was incredible in Young Frankenstein...

I remember her in so may different things, from a Star Trek episode to Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind...

She will be missed.

Did you know that Star Trek episode was meant to launch a 'spin-off' series?

Oh yes... but in retrospect, it was a bit too generationally time-locked... lot's of "groovy this" and "far outs" with constant virtue signaling about "peace" and "love"... a hippy vibe.  It certainly would have been interesting to see how Gary Seven and his "assistant" (Garr) would have developed... but I'm not sure it would have been 'epic' TV.  Of course, what the hell do I know?!  It might have been the breakout series of it's time...  Glad it's not up to me.

Garr had a charming style of performance, she always was a gracious presence on screen... TV or otherwise.

If Teri Garr was a Rorschach inkblot test, then I would see Martin Mull.
