His last appearance in Maverick Top Gun was sad and telling as far as his health goes. RIP

Yes, I'm saddened by his passing.

As you said, 727Sky, his appearance in Maverick was very poignant because he wasn't acting.

I first saw him in Thunderheart and remains one of my favourite films to this day. Then there's Tombstone, Heat  and The Saint to add to his list.
He started as a stage actor and would often return to stage roles and voice overs too.
RIP Val, I for one shall miss you.

Sad day.  I just loved his movies and had such a crush on him when I was young.

Been thinking a lot about Willie Nelson lately too.  That will be a very sad day.

Man enjoyed a lot of his films, from Doc Holliday in Tombstone to Real Genius and Top Secret The Ghost and the Darkness many others

Yeah, when I heard about it I immediately thought of The Doors, Tombstone et al.

I had recently seen him in a western movie where he was the main character’s father, and I was surprised to see how much his health issues had affected him.

RIP my man and thanks for your abilities to entertain.

Ghost and the Darkness is one of my favs.  I did a quick google search and he was in a lot more films than I remember.  True Romance is another fav that I didn't realize he was in.

Mr. Kilmer will be missed.  RIP

I found his performances in Thunderheart and Tombstone very entertaining.

I don't know what happened in his career (who he pissed off/on) but he seemed to fade later on in public attention.

Loved his work.

He was one of the last great actors.  The crop of talent that was at their apex in the 90s. Really well done roles.  I loved him as Doc Holliday , he was superb.
RIP sir, you will be missed.
