You should know this story from another book: Adam and Eve got kicked out of the garden of Eden (hint hint). You have a mind a body and soul OR just pick ANY another religion, they all tell you the same things. All of them has trials and tribulations and other exercises to strengthen the mind. Food for the soul. Good stuff. Some of them even have beautiful Goddesses that teaches you about sex! Sound like fantasy I know, try the occult

Diana, interesting lady. Brilliant as far as I can tell and passionate about her work. Also nasty and sneaky, the first 2 or three chapters in her book tilted me a bit. I'm giving her all the credit, but I'm sure there is more behind the scenes 

Ja, I don't know, everything she says seems rational and I like all the Jacques Vallee quotes. Allot of what I'm seeing in the media now appears to be a slow drip from the book, or it could just be synchronicity 

All the mind/consciousness stuff is in the book

On the thread topic, imo, helping others and fixing societies issues (invisible prison bars that you fear) is a better way to spend time. If it's the body bit, I don't know how tell you this in a gentle way, but leaving it is called death i.e. the soul leaving the body..read the second paragraph again

in fact most people find it pretty toxic.

Perhaps the toxicity abates if the eventual end point is the discovery that you yourself are the jailer... and you had the keys all along... or that the prison is made of your mind... which you can control.. or...
I could go on...  not all dark fantasy is dark because of the fantasy, but instead how we construct it in our minds.

I'm pretty much matrix theory.

Only it's not a sinister prison of agents and machines eating our biological energy, the encoding is just "like a computer program."

Our universe has all these phase transition thresholds, and intrinsic laws like thermodynamics and constants.

It works like an encoded program. And the best answers so far are like theories with many worlds and dimensions specificifally collapsing "the laws of physics," "starting conditions." 

And even Michio Kaku says string theory is like a proof for the mind of God, and I'm inclined to agree the omni-god (of creation) is equal to the infinity (of the multiverse)

I don't even think this infinity of all possible forms and a higher power are describing  different things.

Although it's considered a "dead god" form, and though that's not generally "synchronistic" enough for people, it works for some.

But it doesn't leave me feeling like a slave.

Satanists and nihilists do that mindful of slavery shit. And then will form an entirely new slavery based around being better then the regular slavery. I think it then falls into the same void of infinite reduction at that point..

Pretty much the same as a goth kid.

Your book puts me through memory regression! I cycled through all the stages of grief in every paragraph from the first two chapters! By the third chapter every sentence blinded me with rage! God was literally speaking to me at one point. Why do you do such things to me?

I wouldn't encourage any more Satanists, either.  Most I've met end up drilling pits of obsession into their repetative brains, and then march themselves off a cliff into the abyss of their preexisting damage. Especially the defiant ones. Christian martyrs don't have shit on self-immolative devils picking some form of submission to be willing to die resisting. 

It really gives support to the ideas there is something more that's stranger than fiction happening. Though I think it depends on what well of mental constructs you want to pull your archetypes from. And Jesus is honestly a better defiant martyr archetype to use, any saint really.

oh very interesting in chapter 3 she describes "book encounters", where everyone she'd interviewed seemed to have had an experience where a book suddenly came to their attention, popped out at them in some way, at an appropriate point in their lives to have a particular significance.

i've described how the holographic universe did that to me at a library once, and other book-friends have made themselves known at various other times, but i didn't know the phenomena was so widespread.
