These are visits that are planned for at least a several good months in advance. Of course, for me, the main aim is to collect as much memories as I can, this is what powers me to get back and come with different ideas, purely for my own satisfaction.
The panorama you've linked was taken by me in October 2023. I was standing atop of Tikaboo Peak, playing with my camera settings and when looking at the Groom base I just thought "well, it's getting dark but I have correct settings set so... let's give it a try!" so I took it and was happy with results being so sharp when it comes to resolution of the image and overall result.
As for what you are looking for - as I mentioned, this is panorama of Groom Lake (commonly known as Area 51) - one of the most secretive places on the Earth. This is RDTE (Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation) Air Force base located in Nevada, US built in 1955. You can hardly see any vehicles there (due to darkness) but you are able to see a miltitude of buildings and hangars. If you look to the far right, you will also see a dry lake - this is indeed Groom Lake, a salt flat that the base was built next to as a complex attached.
Just imagine that this pic was taken from ~ 26 miles (42 km), take this detail as important to think of how large and extended that complex is. This are wild miles of a beautiful desert floor!
Thanks mate!
Keep going with your life goals and have a good day!
Thank you for the elucidation! Can you speak more on what you meant then when you said about the images 'bonus fastmovers' ?
