Beginning the poem is often problematic,
the more you think, the less automatic,
as you pile on more syllables,
so the soil becomes less tillable.
Rounding the corner of explicit,
poets solicit the implicit, all just to elicit.
Bearing finesse, dodging distress,
all meaning to express.
A silly exercise yes,
meant to park a dormant duress.
A moment stolen to make sure,
my wit might endure.
the more you think, the less automatic,

so the soil becomes less tillable.
Rounding the corner of explicit,
poets solicit the implicit, all just to elicit.
Bearing finesse, dodging distress,

A moment stolen to make sure,
my wit might endure.
