Parents are killing their unborn children to make jewelry
#1
What's this about?

Embryo jewelry companies.
Killer parents.
Dead IVF children.
Jewelry to hold the dead child that was killed and to wear.
(there is no upper limit on the number of dead children you can put in your jewelry)

The jewelry companies call the dead child 'what you created'.
They don't call the dead child what he or she is ... a murdered dead human.

Sick.  Disrespectful.

Parents are killing their unborn children to make jewelry
Quote:Yes, you read that right. Women who no longer want to implant their frozen embryos — their children — can now have them turned into jewelry. Rings, necklaces, and bracelets made from what was once living, growing human Life.  According to one popular “embryo jewelry” company, “When storage is ending and donation does not feel right, there is a gentler way to honor what you created.”

Thawing out human embryos — real babies — and letting them die so they can be worn as an accessory is not gentle. It’s horrifying. It’s the deliberate killing of one’s own children in order to make a keepsake.

Quote:When storage is ending and donation does not feel right, there is a gentler way to honour what you created. We craft modern heirloom jewelry that quietly holds your embryo within a beautiful, discreet setting. Each piece is made to order in precious metals and handled with care at every step.

At Blossom Keepsake we specialise in fine materials, creating rings, pendants, bracelets and charms in sterling silver, yellow, white or rose gold, and platinum. Add birthstones,  moissanite and diamonds to personalise your jewelry further.

Any Blossom Keepsake design is suitable for IVF embryo keepsakes. Can’t find the piece that truly represents your journey? Talk to us about a bespoke design and create something symbolic to you.

We can combine your embryo with other meaningful inclusions to tell the whole story. Popular choices include breastmilk, ashes, hair, umbilical cord, dried flowers and fabric. Choose a single inclusion or a gentle blend. If you prefer to keep materials separate, we can create discreet compartments within the design.

I simply have no words for this....it goes beyond my ability to comprehend "humanity".
"Gradually I began to intellectually reject some of the delusionally influenced lines of thinking which had been characteristic of my orientation. This began, most recognizably, with the rejection of politically-oriented thinking as essentially a hopeless waste of intellectual effort." ~ John Forbes Nash

This is disturbing.
I just buried my father this summer and they were promoting “gems made from your loved one’s cremated remains” which they could fashion into jewelry.
I found that strange but not overly disturbing.
This however is next level.

That is just so heart-wrenching.  It took my breath away.
I'd expect this to be under the heading of War Crimes.

Begone Satan!!

I think the Nazi's made shit out of the skin of dead Jewish Holocaust victims and probably other parts of their anatomy too.

Who's brilliant idea was this?

That's what I remember.  Human skin for lampshades, for example.
Their scientists were so damn busy becoming madder and crazier.

Macabre and gruesome.

Yuk!
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

Before we break out the torches and pitchforks
let us consider: What usually happens to supernumerary IVF embryos?

After successful IVF birth, 7-15 leftover embryos consisting of 4-6 cells are left over.

1) They can be cryo-stored for an annual fee.

2) Compassionately transferred; means inserted into the uterus at a time when pregnancy is not expected, and the embryo is expelled during menstrual cycle. Very expensive.

3) Tossed into the trash bin without ceremony.

4) Tossed into the trash bin after a ceremony.

5) Donated to another couple. If the donators can cope with the idea that they have offspring out there being raised by others for better or for worse.

6) Donate to research.

7) Have the embryo shipped to them in a can.

There is no standardized protocol. The jewelry option would seem to be akin to a relative's ashes in an urn over the fire place.

Well, better ban IVF now!

Whats Elon Musk's gonna do for children 15 through 26?

Save The Blastocysts!

It's the property of the client who's eggs were used.  You cant resell human tissue (13th amendment) But you can donate them. As they are in a special class..

You get the option to transfer ownership. And you can choose to preserve them, donate to another couple, or have them destroyed entirely, which is also a popular choice.
Quote:Frozen embryos as quasi-property

• Not standard property: Courts do not consider embryos to be the same as other marital property like a house or car.
• Not standard persons: They are also not legally recognized as "persons" with full legal rights.
• Special status: They are often treated as "quasi-property" or "special property," a category that acknowledges their potential for human life but distinguishes them from both standard property and legal persons.

IVF embryos do NOT have a 14th amendment.
Quote:IVF embryos do not have established rights under the U.S. Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, according to U.S. Supreme Court precedent. The Supreme Court, in its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, explicitly stated that "the word 'person,' as used in the Fourteenth Amendment, does not include the unborn". The 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization overturned the constitutional right to an abortion, but it returned the authority to regulate abortion and define personhood to individual states, rather than granting federal constitutional personhood to fetuses or embryos.

I get the morality, but i think it's a faux morality built on doctrine mostly..

I really dont view this embryonic glamor jewelry as much different from the process that sends fetal pigs to high school biology classes.  Its like an alternative of unused or likely to be discarded leftovers.

And that process also slaughters the mother.

But what to do if Ms. Piggy is pregnant?
Quote:Pregnant sows are processed for food at slaughterhouses, and the fetuses are removed from the sow's uterus. These fetal pigs, which would otherwise be considered offal and discarded as waste or used in fertilizer, are collected by biological supply companies for use in educational dissections.

And then the mother becomes delicious bacon!

Or ideally delicious bacon..

Animal rights heartstrings:

If you really want to feel bad watch a line of pigs start to react to their upcoming slaughter.  It's distressing as hell. They smell blood, sense the others, and squeal and thrash as they fight the inevitable.

Made me never want to eat pigs or farm animals again.

But we kill them by the millions without any degree of empathy only to turn around and call the use of blastocysts in jewelry sickening?

I guess I disagree when the animal known as human elevates its own life's divine importance above the lesser commodities it calls livestock, and applies a completely different morality (because of the food chain) to conscious life already capable of deep emotions and love.

Because all those (largely discarded anyway) blastocysts could've because human persons eventually, the most sacred of all life.  A special life, more important than the food chain and all othet life itself!

Can you tell I have a stronger moral response to animal rights than i do to parents using their unused embryos in jewelry?
