Pareidolia? Tell Me What You See.

Okay, here are my thoughts.

At first I thought it was some sort of demon, then I realized it looked more like The Tick.  But with the Norse looking helmet I settled on Loki.  

@Tecate has it right...pareidolia is fun.

Greetings DI,

I have a mosaic backsplash in my kitchen and one tile has a unique mark.  It's unlike any other on the whole wall.  I don't think there's any significance...just curious what you guys see...

Black-figured man (similar to Greek black-figured vase) with a feather headdress on a swing in front of a stove.  Alternatively the same black-figured man with his hands in the air, starting to do a forward flip over a cube-like obstacle.  Or a pot-bellied dog, facing left, with its paws in the air.

Do I win a prize???

This appears like a style of Italian tile I used to see at the home of my extended family... oddly...in the kitchen.

That's interesting...we have the same tastes maybe?  

Since it's over the sink, and not the stove, I would say there's a better chance that it's the god of dishes.

That makes more sense... there were specific spiritual allies for everyone when the tradition began.
