Palestinian Refugee in Canada - her view on Halloween etc
#1
So this woman who is 'palestinian' gets out of Gaza and is a refugee in Canada.
She's been there a few months.
Halloween is coming.
On social media, she made her opinion clear about Halloween decorations and Westerners in general.

These people can not blend in and are not tolerant.
They are ungrateful and entitled.
("Palestinians" live off others generosity, Gaza produces nothing but terrorism).
They shouldn't be relocated out of the Middle East.

What she said ...

Quote:'I just want to ask, is this ok? Is this how holidays look like?' she asked as she panned the camera over a hanging display of severed plastic body parts.

'This is just across the street from my sister's [house]. Is this f***ing ok? What's the fun about it? What is civilized about it? What is holiday about it?

'F*** you all. F*** you, white people. F*** you, westerners... I don't know what to say, like, f*** everyone.'

If I was a dirt poor refugee from America being taken in by a Muslim country, and living free in that country sucking off their taxpayers, I wouldn't go around shouting 'fuck all of you and everything here' and complain about their Eid al-Adha holiday no matter how uncivilized and disgusting I think it is.   Id' keep my mouth shut, blend in, and even if I didn't participate in the culture I'd at least respect it since those people saved my life and were supporting me.

** Pretty sure that's the holiday where they slit the throats of the animals in the streets and wallow in their blood before they eat the dead critters.

Lol nice find Flyersfan!

If you want a real laugh, check out this interview:

Quote:The whole immigration system is not functional, and they don't care about what our family members that are left behind are going through, what we are going through. Like – me as a mother, to be separated from my daughter who's in desperate need for love and care and a lot of her needs were not met. That was heartbreaking.

And then when the genocide started, I was like, maybe they could help. I reached out to my deputy in the neighbourhood, and he was super racist… We went to talk to him about our personal story, and to ask him for help, and he was, like, blaming the Palestinians for what’s happening, saying that it is Hamas that started all of it, and that there’s a waiting list and that he can’t move her file up.

I was expecting more cooperation, especially in times of emergencies like this. And, you know, again, she's a child. This disregard to our suffering as Palestinians, while I saw how they dealt with the Ukrainians, with no conditions at all imposed on them. A lot of benefits were offered to them, financially and otherwise – that's infuriating for me.
Quote:Because this negatively impacts the image of Canada being a country of human rights and liberties and stuff, which is not true. So they're trying all tactics and strategies to silence the movement, and by attacking me for being this visible, and you know, I'd say known in the movement. So if this happens to me, what about other people that no one knows about? So I do understand why they're doing this, the government, the police, but I don't care.

All these things, they are just giving more visibility about what's happening here in Canada, of the suppression of the movement, the people. And it's an extension of what's happening in Palestine, you know, all these tactics. It's on a different scale, but this is something that's happening in Palestine, in Gaza, to hide the truth, to black out the truth of what's happening in Palestine.

She really has no clue, and should learn her place. Does she think the government gave her a visa to relocate just so she could slag on them and bitch about their policies? She's supposed to be a feminist scholar, that's how she got entry in the first place. Her role is to deconstruct the patriarchal oppression she faced in the muslim world and show how much better the West is. Not bitch about white people and halloween. Or stage sit-ins at the local politicians office! No wonder she keeps getting arrested. If she really wants to do something for herself, and maybe her people, she'll align herself with the local politicos. Yeah, they'll trot her out for diversity and we're-the-good-guys purposes, because politics is a game, but she may also make something of herself other than an icon of ingratitude and entitlement, because that's the only message she's actually getting across right now. It's like she has no clue how the world actually works.

She can go back home. If she doesn’t like it, she should come to Mexico at the end of the month!

Dia de Los Muertos is coming and she really wouldn’t like that!

She can get fucked.

As a Canadian, I cordially invite her to pack her her bags and GTFO of my country. Canadians are tired of being pissed on by newcomers.

If a person in your hypothetical circumstances were realized, I suspect they would be summarily shot and buried without consequence.   Perhaps a blurb on the U.S. news about a missing tourist.

Oh come on now "You All",  freedom of speech and respect for other cultures etc etc you should all know that it is a one way street, their street their way.... Just let more in so everyone can live in the wonderful Sharia shit hole they will create; mask optional.

As I recall one ATS veteran quoting frequently,
"Your rights end where mine begin."
Won't be changing what I celebrate or how I choose to do it in my own country.
Assimilate, or leave. We are polite but growing intolerant.

Back in my day, her house would be egged and TP'd for that video.

I doesn't seem to be a case of intolerance but rather being triggered coming from a war torn country where we have no clue what she was forced to witness.

""Oh yes, I have a number of clients who have had traumatic backgrounds — PTSD, complex PTSD — and they find a lot of things around Halloween are very triggering," he said. And Buckley said more people are affected than you might think. Soldiers who have served in combat zones, refugees from countries affected by war, witnesses of bad road accidents and victims of violent crime can all be sensitive to graphic displays such as those featuring skeletons or severed limbs, for example."

""There's a difference between choosing to go to a place where you know that there's going to be scary things and it's there for fun — and if you don't find it fun, you don't have to go — versus something being right in your face, in your community that you have no choice about," he said."

Nope.  Pure intolerance and ingratitude.
"fuck the west' and 'fuck white people' isn't PTSD.
FAIL.   Thumbdown
