Control the Narrative. Or Else. Says Shlomo Kramer

See I don’t mean to conflate hating Jews with questioning Israel’s involvement or policies. The same I wouldn’t hate America or its people while admonishing its policies at home and abroad.

Not suggesting the thread go this direction either. So, full stop. This is about controlling the narrative, and questioning why one, or their government would deem this necessary.

Of course, it was satirical, and thus, somewhat off-topic, my bad.

As for controlling narrative, as my previous comment, every 'news' released, no matter the platform, is a narrative in itself. There doesn't seem to be any 'real' investigation done anywhere. It's all a 'reality TV show' as far as I see.

And well, I can't speak for american news channels, but here in Canada, since Trump's re-election, news channels mostly talkshit about him. To the point it actually becomes bothersome to look for what's happening in the country I live in. It was the same as his 1st term, at that time, it was supposed to be the end of the world, listening to them, and yet, we're still here. I expect the same after his 2nd term.

And then, necessity. I can only speculate, of which I'd say to distract a population from what's happening in their country.

Interesting.

Ya know, again without throwing the thread, you bring up a fascinating point. Couple of them.

Yeah it’s all rubbish. First off. But. I noticed how vilified Trump was by the MSM his first term, and if we wasn’t such a stooge, I almost felt sorry for him.

Yet he has a shitty sense of humor and is cruel when he thinks he’s being funny. Always.

Too early in the 2nd term if his to make a call on his administration. But I can see which way the wind blows. And telling half the country you’re a “basket of deplorables” is about as attractive and savvy as his “you’re with us or against us” stance.

Again I decry the loss of civil debate and a conscientious middle ground. Clearly the news ain’t meant to invoke that aspect of an informed citizenry the way Kronkite and his predecessors did.

While not getting too far off-topic, I'd like to at least comment that I was on the fence during Trump's 1st term. I thought he might be the black sheep that some people within conspiracy were claiming. But then, again, we're still here, and nothing has changed.

Now he seems more to be a figure to elevate hostility amongst two extremists sides within the US, or so I'm led to believe. And then, there's the crypto angle, and this control of narrative could be to actually implement it without most of the public awareness.

There does seem to be an effort to somewhat redirect people's anger from 'inequalities' at each other's throats instead. Personally, I'd say it's also to distract from the shifting of power occuring.

Journalism has been killed 10+ years ago, now it's all about clicks and audience ratings. 'Info' is brought up by talking heads and are mostly designed to rile up a 'side' against another, whether either exists or not.

MSM/CNN circa 2016 times have changed, if true.

@mazemoore

May, 2016. CNN does a segment entitled "A Day with ICE in a so-called Sanctuary City."

CNN literally rode around with ICE from the break of dawn until nighttime,

watching while ICE conducted raids and arrested illegals. ICE arrested some right at their jobs.

CNN was not criticizing ICE.

They were celebrating ICE.

It was "exclusive access"
during the Obama years and CNN considered it a privilege to get to watch ICE work.

ICE even made a "mistake" arrest. CNN had no problem with it.

Six months later Trump won the election and ICE was then labeled the gestapo.
His mind was not for rent to any god or government

But change is
