I'm not getting the big panic by the left over this 'Project 2025'.

It's a bunch of conservatives getting together in a think tank like thing and saying what they think they'd like to see as the future for America.

So what?  The left does the same thing.   People can get together and do that sort of thing.

Is this the new boogyman for the left?  They have to have something to be paranoid about I suppose.  Both sides need that special thing that they use to scare people to bring their own people together ... huddled in fear.

Thank you for providing this document here for our analysis and comment.

It will represent the core of a great many 'talking points' which the political opposition will rely on for fuel.  However, aside from the theater of public politics, it also demonstrates how the thoughts and positions of think-tanks play a part in the public dialog; who inputs them, and to what extent.

It is often affirmed that the candidacy is not connected to the "project" but it seems unlikely that it can now be separated from the 'show.'

The only pushback I've seen in my world is relating to Education.  Something in that gameplan has educators scared.

I called this a Gameplan because I believe it in some way is.  I don't believe for a second that new administrations take the time to develop strategy for policy but rather, rely on a crafted script.

PNAC anyone?

The Heritage Foundation is essentially a think-tank.  The "product" they have produced is therefore only about those goals and intentions germane to the Heritage Foundation members.  There is some kind of effective difference between the 2025 project and the stated intentions/objectives of the GOP.  It has to be noted that the project has no direct link to the party... although that is entirely a cosmetic perspective... for all we know the Heritage Foundation could be a defacto leader of the Republican Party... and the fact that the relationship is obscured speaks volumes.

Insofar as 'charting a course' for the potential 'new' administration; it would be sad to think that some 'anonymous' group of 'club members' are the navigators of the fate of the United States... and that would be just one more example of how the "people's government" is a façade for a more insidious, unaccountable body of people who are about their own agendas first... people be damned.

Political theater keeps us guessing... all the time.  I have to wonder if that's the point.
