No more human actors
#11
How long would AI need to train itself on footage from real human actors before it is able to mimic it. From there all you need to do is have an editing team tweak it with more specific prompts based on director notes. I could completely see a day where it at least rivals humans especially in the cartoon/animation voiceover realm. Hell I bet if trained it could mix audio and run lighting rigs and LED walls too. It would require a lot of patent licenses to get into interfacing with any proprietary code though...which makes running anything IRL expensive, even if just paying for licenses.

I guess the tech world of production is safe for now...not so sure about the film/tv side though...

A.I.  is getting better but as far as live actors or actions they have a way to go IMO.

From what I understand, in order to be copyrighted a work must be made by humans.

Legally, all AI works are public domain. Were is the profit in that?

An argument over a selfie made by a monkey led to the courts deciding this.
I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

2012? That is CGI not AI. Humans did that with computer animation. It is entirely different from AI.

On the other hand, it's kind of a "cookie cutter" look.  After awhile it's not that visually interesting.

I agree, AI right now looks like very clean anime. It loses its appeal when it's presented as over the top or shoved in our faces. AI might be something for practical movies in the future but not as it is right now.

I totally agree but bottom line no actual human actors. Jurassic Park  had some of the best Dino special effects for it's timed release as did 2001 a Space Odyssey neither A.I. as far as I know but darn good at what they were presenting IMO.

There are stories written about a neural net where people plug into a totally different reality... wanna be a starship captain or anything else you can imagine it will be available except in control freak countries........  choices will be there for anyone with a subscription and the freedom to log in...   Kinda sorry I will miss all that  [Image: ats2508_cheers.gif]

From a basic script to a full movie. Just 3 people or less could be a full movie studio

If you can afford the GPU's the RAM the Video Cards and work with something other than Windows 11.

Even so, like others have said before, you can't nessecarily copyright any of your AI generated movies.

Maybe the "concept" but...
"Gradually I began to intellectually reject some of the delusionally influenced lines of thinking which had been characteristic of my orientation. This began, most recognizably, with the rejection of politically-oriented thinking as essentially a hopeless waste of intellectual effort." ~ John Forbes Nash

A.I. is hard on unskilled artists, not those who's talent will always shine.

A.I. movies right now seem made up of sub-ten second clips spliced together with no long scenes to grow an atmosphere.

Real humans will know the difference for a long time to come me thinks. And let's not forget that much that is seen on a hollywood screen is actors covered in dots on a green-screen set regardless of what an audience believes it is looking at.

A.I. will make everything streamlined to provide a simple common reality which will be BORING for humans!
