That's the impression you're left with if you pierce through the first layer of misinformation. Truth is, there are very good reasons why eliminating international competition and preventing configurations of leverageable power opposed to US interests from forming are, in the real world, necessary. Regardless of who owns or controls the economic machinery. And, in fact, maintaining US hegemony requires both military and economic unity that frankly would not be achievable if the focus and direction of that effort were not isolated from the vagaries of public opinion. At least, that's the case when you run your empire on lies. Thank goodness we seem to be at a point where a large number of Americans, if not always a majority, don't need the comfortable illusions of always pretending "they hate us for our freedoms" or "we're always the good guys and they're evil". It's a murky world. Okay. Some berate Trump for "letting the mask slip" or "saying the quiet part aloud", but that's actually what me and many others sort of like about him. It's a refreshing breakthrough of honesty, even if the truth is sometimes a difficult pill to swallow.

Bolton represent the old guard, who will never ever own up to their BS. Time for him to go.
