Mothman Prophecy CIA Psyop - CTC

conjecture; the events in The Mothman Prophecies were all a CIA / government psyop.

1) multiple aerial events.  strange craft / lights.
2) 'men in black' visiting cafes, questioning witnesses, displaying bizarre behavior.
3) telephone interference and strange calls
4) attempted (fake?) kidnaping by a strange individual ('in a fright wig').
5) the various Mothman events
6) the Indrid Cold event

any and all of these might have been Government stuff with the overall objective of seeing he effect of strange events on Middle America, possibly concerned about eventual alien disclosure.

I find it significant that the events in Point Pleasant stopped immediately after the Silver Bridge tragedy.  as if whomever was running the op pulled the plug.  no more Mothman sightings (he seems to have made a comeback in Illinois).

I suspect some individuals were dosed with LSD or similar and subjected to theatrics.  (as I recall the CIA did experiment with hallucinogens)

This has a lot of validity to it. During those times when the Mothman appearance started the CIA was not just involved in psychedelic testing on the public, but was also involved in human genetic research. You might be on to something here.
